Have any of you read Kagetsu Tohya, the sequel to TsukiHime, on DS ? This VN is freeware, and can be found already converted here:
-snip-

In my case this VN, unlike the others, takes a long time to start, plus I had to unzip the archives because the program would not load the foreground images (now it does).
You can save your position but unfortunately when you reload it the console freezes. Can anyone confirm this? If you have the technical knowledge, can you tell me why this happens? And can it be solved easily?

Edit: Also, can you tell me if it is possible to play VNDS from SD slot of a DSi through TWL++? If the problem comes from the low RAM, maybe it can be solved by using it from here.

Thanks.

I've already linked you to the repo in the TWLMenu++ thread. Are you unable to compile it?

I compiled it for him, so it will work? It was the master version.
This is the result of my tests. The program starts in the DSi mode, I can select the VN from the list. The chosen title starts, the script is read correctly, but when I get to the first voice track or bgm, it does not play, and the program freezes (hard-reset needed).
Tried three different titles.
In addition, the touch screen does not work, and is essential for saving/loading and options.
In DS mode it does not work, only white screens.
If anyone can get it working, please let me know. :)

😭 Unfortunately, even with this version the result does not change: I repeat it below:

I would like to reiterate that I would be glad to hear if other users have had different outcomes from mine. Thanks.

My guess is that the program can't find the voice and music files in the SD slot, and maybe even the pictures (but it crashes before those). It starts to load the script but then crashes.

I use the SD slot of a DSi, Flipnote as an exploit, TWL++ menu. Again I tried it in DSi mode, and it loads the initial menu but then crashes. In DS mode it freezes.

The old version from flashcart works fine but sometimes it gives a random "guru error".

Dm me the exact stuff you're using, including the vnds folder, and I'll test it.

I just tested it (didn't notice it said ds incompatible for that particular novel). it seems to work with some games; not with others. no idea what the problem is. it compiles without error, so maybe some changes to the code broke some things. @RocketRobz , could you test the above game, since you have a dsi?

Which one are you referring to? You don't have to use those in the high res folder. The other normal ones all work with the older VNDS.

You mean, with the ones that work, you hear both voice acting and bgm?
Hmmm... It seems strange to me that with some VN they work and with others they don't. You're using the SD slot of a 3DS, right?
