NUS Packer never making install able packages

Hello everyone, lately I've been trying to make installable packages with NUS Packer but every time I go to install, WUP Installer tells me it isn't a game. At the moment I just decompiled Splatoon and I was just trying to recompile it. It works but the wup installer issue remains. I don't know what the issue could be, the uncompiled game works on an emulator so I don't know what else there would be to do? Can anyone pass me any guidance? Let me know if you need any more information

What is the file output which nus packer gives you? A lot of .h3, .app, .cert, .tik and .tmd (encrypted) files? Or is it raw game data? Like /code, /content and /meta folders (decrypted)?

it gives me all the .app and title.tik, title.cert and title.tmd

Then put it into sd:/install/anotherfolderhere/

well that would be all fine and dandy but it's wup installer that then gives an error stating the wup files are incorrect and that I need to run sigpatcher. which I did of course but it still won't seem to install. I don't really know where to go from here but I'd like to think that NUS Packer is the reason for the issue. I decompiled splatoon and recompiled it with NUS Packer only to find myself with the same error. I got splatoon from WiiU USB helper also in case that changes anything.

Most likely no or wrong common key.

Of course it is. Did you even read the readme?

-encryptKeyWith ; the key that is used to encrypt the encryption key

java -jar NUSPacker.jar -in "inputDir" -out "outputDir" -encryptKeyWith 12345678123456781234567812345678

(This is from the readme and not the real common key)

Also the output of NUSPacker should show you in big letters that the common key is missing, hence a dummy gets used.
