Hate to be “that guy”, but ismyswitchpatched and the first post in this thread are giving me completely opposite answers. XJA70022 serial which according to the chart in this thread is completely unambiguously unpatched. But ismyswitchpatched seems to think it is completely unambiguously patched. Which is more likely to be correct? It’s a neon red and blue unit, manufactured 2017, unsure when purchased as I bought it with cash through classifieds and I don’t quite remember when that was. Possibly late 2017 or early 2018, but definitely no later than 2018.

Any unit manufactured BEFORE 2018 IS UNPATCHED, the patched units start to be on the wild aprox june 2018 after the vulnerability was announced.

Currently in Fall '22, are the only moddable Switches still the early, unpatched models? A buddy asked if new ways have been discovered for the later patched Switches, and looking over the info it seems like nothing has changed. Just want to be sure before I report back.

Yep. Nothing has changed. Nothing new discovered. Oled, Mariko and patched Eristas still need a Modchip.

I have something like this.
Can i downgrade to 2.0 firmware? Like i can on ps Vita? In Just curious
Theoretically you can. But as stated above, you would "brick" your console because the system refuses to boot. But lemme say you, you don't need to downgrade. Why do you want that if I may ask?
