Anyone with a Ryzen 2600x-3600X or 5600X have 60fps ?
Running the latest mods from theboy, RyujinX / 5600x / 3090 and the performance varies depending on where I am.
  • The overworld seems the smoothest, ranging between 45-60 most of the time. Twice in my last session game froze for a bit before returning to normal (both times after battle).
  • Colony 9 drops FPS to 30. There was one part just before you leave to the new overworld area where FPS plummeted to like 10-15 FPS. Then a cutscene triggered and everything returned to normal after the cutscene ended.
Not sure if this is mod-related, but there are awkward pauses in between dialog and characters seem to animate extra slow during cutscenes. I'll try disabling the 60FPS mod and see if that does anything to change this. Overall, the game is pretty playable and looks really good with the 2K & Disable Scaler mods.

Edit: I'm also using the Vulkan Workaround - is this just for Yuzu?

Ryujinx just runs worse

Ryujinx just runs slower. It's more accurate to the switch in terms of game effects (like motes, etc) and you'll likely see fewer graphical bugs (though the last time I tried it there was some really bad ones at the end of chapter 5/start of chapter 6. Haven't checked to see if they've been fixed) but the performance will be worse across the board. Be glad the colonies don't drop below 30 because they certainly did before. I guess the 60 fps mod helps with that, but personally I stopped using that when it started causing problems in cutscenes.

The Vulkan workaround is specifically for Yuzu, I think. It's to counter some of the more obnoxious graphical bugs when playing the game in Yuzu. It doesn't fix everything but it's way better than it was.

You are doing something wrong then only use Disable Scaling and 2K together with other theboy mods at 1x and don't use any older mods.

That's an AMD issue you can just switch to opengl to get trough, there are no issues on nvidia from what i saw.

Don't expect an emulator fix, AMD has to fix it.
cant play with opengl, it loads too much shader then crashes after a few minutes.
I have downloaded someone's save files that started at chapter 5 and im almost done with the game.

does anyone know if XC.DE and XC2 had similar issues in AMD?

Just an update from earlier. I'm about...4 or 5 hours in, I think? I've had 2 crashes so far, both during lengthy cutscenes between the first two boss fights. The first just locked up Yuzu and resulted in a "Not Responding" window. The second crash was a hard crash, and Yuzu closed on it's own. I ended up just skipping the cutscenes themselves, finishing the fights themselves, and then just looking up the scenes on Youtube.

Overall, not bad. Though I did notice that my RAM usage went from 7GB to 14GB (Out of 16GB) during the end of the second boss fight. I was concerned the entire time - I thought it was going to crash and I'd have to do that long fight a third time haha.

My RAM usage (from Yuzu) is between 5 and 7GB during my XC3 games. Have you set some Virtual Memory on your Windows? if not, you should, it prevents lot of crashes with Yuzu.

https://www.windowscentral.com/how-...s-10#change_virtual_memory_settings_windows10

Allocate at least 10GB or increase the existing amount of virtual RAM. Also make sure to close your web browser and other apps during your gaming sessions.

Yeah I usually reset my PC before using Yuzu lol. I don't trust Chrome haha.

My RAM usage is normally between 5 and 7 as well - this is the first time it's gone up. I'll take a look at setting up some Virtual RAM tonight. I'm also planning on getting another 16GB kit of RAM and adding another HDD to my PC, though that might take some time.

Removing the Vulkan Workaround fixed this. Now the cutscenes move at normal speed and there's no long pause between each line of spoken dialog.

I did get a C2D earlier today, seemed pretty random. I was just farming the overworld.

Edit: Lol, it literally just happened, similar situation. Seems I can get a good few hours of gameplay in before a full crash (RyujinX force-closes completely).

Edit 2: I think it was my Graphics Backend Multithreading setting. Seems performance is generally improved across the board with this but I'm at a part of a game where I can't re-test the worse-performing areas at the moment.

Edit 3: Nm, still getting pretty frequent crashes. I enabled logging and gave them a look... it's all related to Vulkan (sync object failing to signal within 1000ms). Game's so good I can tolerate the constant hard crashes - sometimes it's a good signal to stop playing.

Edit 4: Swapped to OpenGL to resolve crashes for the time being. I'll deal with the stutters, they don't seem to happen at significant points in the game and they self-resolve in a few seconds.

60 fps needs a good CPU and yuzu GPU on normal/extreme. If your PC isn't powerful enough to hold at least 35 fps it can go into slow motion.

YUZU EA 2907 out !
https://github.com/pineappleEA/pineapple-src/releases/tag/EA-2907

Changelog Yuzu Early Access 2907
PR-8685 core, network: Add ability to proxy socket packets
It adds the ability to proxy packets coming from our BSD socket implementation and therefore makes it possible to play "LAN-supported" games over the internet, without the need for external programs like Hamachi.

That sounds like an improvement that has nothing at all to do with Xenoblade. Does the performance change? Are the motes back? If it doesn't change anything for the game this thread is about why are you announcing it here?

Not at all and none of that will change as long as the main gpu dev is gone.

Also enabled - Pipeline cache; asynchronous gpu emulation and ASTC
Accurracy: Normal
asynchronous shader and Fast GPU time on.

That started to happening with me at the chapter 3.

Never happen to me.

Try turning FXAA off
Accuracy: Extreme

I'm using Yuzu 2890 with the same mods (not the xp one ...) and the game runs perfect.

It's an AMD thing. Most people just recommend switching to OpenGL for this region. I, sadly, ran into a problem where OpenGL crashes after I start ANY battle, as soon as I draw the weapon. I honestly have no idea what to do anymore, I deleted the cache, turned off all the mods, etc. Did anyone here ever stumble into that sort of thing?
