I keep getting solid blue and cyan lights on my switch after hwfly installation, and the switch boots to ofw, tried soldering everything three times, all reading are right, but the chip doesnt even retrain, any solutions?

I already flashed it with 0.7.1 hwfly nx, and got these lights, also tried other firmwares from the reseller in Aliexpress, they all give my one purple blink and the switch boots to ofw
Dat0 or CLK will most likely be your issue. When OFW boots its usually dat0 not soldered correctly. Be careful not grounding clk as you can corrupt nand and get purple screen. Diode mode usual readings are 600-750.

Try to reset the chip and run diagnostics, this can be done through SSH console like PuTTY by connecting to the COM port of the chip (more info on hwfly-nx github page). This can give you more info about the problem.

I cannot boot with my hwfly 4.1 oled chip neither, the readings are fine, and I get BAD00110 error (more info on my thread). Now I'm waiting for a new chip to arrive to try again. Did you manage to try with a different chip as well?

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
