Hey there guys!

Let me know if this is the right place to put this, but I made a save decryptor for the game Cult of the Lamb.
Allows you to modify your save game at will, as usually the save game is encrypted and you can not modify it. Leave any feedback you have or questions below I'll be happy to answer

Try to save it with JKSV and then try using this site. It might just work

Didn't work for me unless I'm missing something. I will upload my save file here if anyone else want to test it or if it helps OP in anyway to make it compatible for switch saves.

It's a fresh save with nothing on it, not sure if that matters. I figured that wasn't important though and it more had to do with how the JKSV save is different from Steam saves.

I've used this quite a few times to help me work on a couple things in regards to CotL, and its helped a bit. The one quirk I've noticed is it always saves as slot_0 even if im using slot_1 or slot_2 game save.

Side note, Im just getting into the modding/cheating/editing world of gaming/game saves and was wondering if there is somewhere you can direct me to know how you determined how it was encrypted? Or did you just toss that JS library at it and it does its own magic?

Hey!
Is it possible to use this tool to change which Doctrines have been chosen? I've had a look at my save and was wondering if you could knew which parts refer to the specific doctrines chosen.

Edit* Specifically the one which gives you the Ritual of Resurrection instead of the Funeral Ritual
Edit 2* I found that changing 33 to 32 in DoctrineUnlockUpgrades changes the doctrines book to say that the chosen ritual is Resurrection, though this does not change the ritual available under the Rituals menu

The ritual menu is a list populated partly from the UnlockedUpgrades array.

In order to switch to Resurrection you also need to change 111 (this is funeral) -> 110 (this is Resurrection) in the UnlockedUpgrades array.

Yep,

DoctrineUpgrade 7 is Intimidate and DoctrineUpgrade 6 is Inspire, thats the only change needed

Thanks! Some fishes for the quest are bugged and only spawn with the ritual of the Ocean. Anyone knows which numbers are Ritual of the Harvest and Ocean?

Remove 154 from UnlockedUpgrades and 39 from DoctrineUnlockedUpgrades, then add 38 to DoctrineUnlockedUpgrades

Since this isn't a ritual you need to remove the ritual unlock and the doctrine unlock, then add only the DoctrineUnlock

There are two ways to do this, change your ritual or manually add the fish to your inventory.
I'll tell you how to do the ritual thing, that way you don't potentially miss any prompts from manually adding the fish, its also a bit buggy sometimes when manually adding when you haven't unlocked a specific item already.

Change UnlockedUpgrades 108 (Ritual of Harvest) to 109 (Ritual of Ocean) and change DoctrineUnlockedUpgrade 28 (Ritual of Harvest) to DoctrineUnlockedUpgrade 29 (Ritual of Ocean)

does anyone know how to swap to after life 3 doctrine respect your elders or if someones figured out a list of all the doctrine upgrades and their respective numbers that would also help

So i do have a complete list, but its not as easy as swapping out a single entry, if you've read down the thread, some doctrine upgrades do other entries, and you need to do them in multiple spots.

The swap for you is:
DoctrineUnlockedUpgrades 34 and CultTraits 30 is Respect your Elders
DoctrineUnlockedUpgrades 35 and CultTraits 31 is Good Die Young

BOTH need to be swapped in order for the update to take place

I am working on putting a list of everything together (and possibly even a save editor) so its easier for people to do the swap without needing to ask here every time.

Does anyone know how to change regular followers into twitch followers? That is have their name above their heads like the twitch followers do? I found a section that looks like it's for that but I can't seem to get it to work.

Do you already have any that are listed as Twitch followers?
There might be new entries that are generated once connected to Twitch.
If you do could you send me a copy of your unecrypted save?

Hey.

There is a bug in the game that doesn't unlock anything when you reach tier 3 divine inspiration and unlock refinery. There is a patch on Steam but GOG doesn't get one yet - does anybody know what the ID is maybe if I re-lock and then unlock it in game I can recover my softlocked save?

If not, is there a list of research tech in divine so I can paste the list in and make the game a fun playground at least? I suspect just filling it with numbers is a bad idea.
