actually, if I'm not mistaken, some flash cards can do this, probably through twilight menu, because I could've sworn there was a save and load save state with the supercard dstwo. you have to press like L+R+start+select or something when in the game, and then it opens a menu.

Im going to ask this again since it was ignored, (not targeting anyone) but anyone who used melon knows that it will connect to wpa2 from the computer and use it to play DS games online, (dis-including dsi-ENHANCED games) can the dsi do the same using emulation? I understand some things, and i feel safe asking this as this is a noob paradise, so if anyone has answers please let me know!

It's much harder to do on console since melonDS can simply emulate a fake Wi-Fi network and tell the game that's what it's connected to, on hardware since nothing's being emulated it's a lot harder to just make the game do Wi-Fi differently.

It's not 100% impossible, Wi-Fi is handled on the secondary ARM7 processor which developers couldn't directly write code for in official games so it's all standardized so theoretically you could just rewrite the ARM7 binary to use the new DSi Wi-Fi and it would work for a bunch of different games, but we don't even have well working Wi-Fi in normal homebrew yet so I wouldn't expect it soon.

Alr thx for telling me. Yea considering it from this pov, I can definitely tell this won't happen anytime soon. I have mario kart ds and i have a wpa2 at home so i can't really play online without doing some complicated things all the time, ( i wont get into the process of how i do it) but i just wanted to know if something like this was possible without so many complications the way i do it. Thx for the answer! Really appreciate it!

currently hacking my dsi as we speak, but the flipnote lenny exploit isn't working. first time i pasted it didn't do anything, second time it froze but it didn't load twilight menu. i am 99% sure i did the prep work perfectly, so does anyone know what might be the problem here? thanks in advance!

Try reformatting with SD Formatter if you haven't already. If that doesn't fix it make sure all the files are in the right places, BOOT.NDS in the SD root and such...

Maybe try redownloading everything just to be sure.

ok nevermind i had to delete them again and i deleted the sav files too, now the games are actually gone. but is there anyway i can save the games from their corruption?

What game roms? I assume you're talking about nDS roms, and you're using TWilightmenu to launch them, but they give you a red (bottom) screen when you launch them?

Not sure about that.. Because once they're deleted, they shouldn't show up on the roms folder when you scroll on the list..

yes, nds files. they came from my old flashcard, and i can recall that when using the flash card some games didn't boot up at all.
1 game didn't even have an icon, and when i loaded it it gave me a white top screen and a red bottom screen. the other game did look normal when it booted but after 5 seconds the bottom screen turned red again. there were also lines of dots that looked like it was supposed to be text.

Not all games are 100% compatible in TWilightMenu++. There's compatibility list you should check for what works and what doesn't..

You can ask about that here in the official TWilightMenu thread.

Hello,

im new to the dsi, twilight menu and the whole homebrew, I managed to get everything working just fine, but my dsi was a bad line of pixels, the very first vertical line on the left is always red, i want to ask if there is an option or mod to turn off that line of pixels so its black, its bright red and very noticeable so im hoping maybe if its black its less of an issue.

Dead or stuck pixels (or even lines) on an LCD will – to my knowledge – not react on any signal¹. That is why they are stuck. On a PC monitor a stuck pixel (or a part of it) will always be on. I've had one monitor where the green part of one pixel was always on. Very noticeable when the area around it showed a dark part of the picture – and almost invisible in light pictures.
====

My guess is that you will have to replace the broken LCD to get rid of the annoying line.

____________
¹ Single stuck pixels *might* (maybe even just temporary) react to prolonged flickering in the surrounding area in some instances – hence the "screen fixing apps". I'm afraid this won't do anything for a whole bad line.

Sometimes(!) software can work around moderate hardware damage… but rarely will software be able to actually fix something (an outdated example would be a charger applying two or three very specific charge/discharge cycles to a NiCd battery affected by the infamous, dreaded – but mostly reversible – Memory Effect)

Good luck. Refer to ifixit.com for repair manuals and watch some videos before attempting anything. Especially upper screens are a nightmare on any DS model.

Good luck!
