Lmao, why? Do they actually understand what it is?
I sense that you're one of the youngest in the family and you're worried about getting caught, but if you successfully managed to install this stuff then you're a smart kid. Are you sure you're not overblowing their reactions in your mind?
well the middle but yeah im concerned

I think honesty is the best policy. Explain what the custom firmware actually does and that it hasn't ruined the console at all.
If you want some help wording this to them then I will happily help you, I write for a living so I like to think that I can help you word it in a very agreeable way.
Also, you've got it on there now and it's probably safest to leave it as it is: that is to say, working. If you F something up removing it, then you've got no 3DS AND you still need to confess.

Removing CFW is more dangerous than modding in the first place. If you keep any unsigned stuff on there, you might brick. And since the CFW is gone, you no longer have an easy way of fixing it.

Did they say this before you went and modded it? Because if that was their warning and you did it anyway, sorry, I've got no sympathy. Welcome to your bed.
But if they said it after, then maybe you need to persuade them that modding your console isn't ruining it, and it's purely additive - everything will work as normal for them.

Dunno what to tell you, champ. You've gone and done it now so it's safer leaving it be.
They're probably going to be annoyed that you just went ahead and did it, that's inevitable.
Removing the CFW is more risk than leaving it be, that's inevitable.
Your only real option now is to take it on the chin and try to get them to see the benefits. You're the one who put it on there and you understand it more than them so in a way, you've got the upper hand. Tell them you're not removing it and they should listen to you about the benefits.
If they're worried about "the law", Nintendo aren't going to notice a family in Canada downloading some ROMs or whatever. The risk is minimal.

What shall the forum members do then? We can't change anything.
You don't have many options. Leave it as is or follow the uninstalling guide I linked above to the letter.

If your family dislikes software modification, maybe out of ignorance, you are not gonna change that by hard-headed yourself.

Regarding idiotic punishments like "taking away stuff for eternity": Some people are stuck in the past. I've had my fair share of discussions with people like that (goes too much off-topic).
==========

What I can assure: 3DS software modification with B9S and Luma3DS is as safe as it can get. It is virtually impossible to mess up (unless doing on purpose) and certain things can go wrong on stock consoles as well -- leaving no option to repair the damage. Admittedly this is not happening often, but it can happen.
Having full access, creating NAND backups with GodMode9 and game save backups with Checkpoint/JKSM is something that stock consoles won't allow. If somebody is concerned of "something might break", I would recommend installing CFW on a 3DS for safety reasons. Not a nice feeling losing all game progress due to a spontaneous hardware failure when taking the inability to backup on stock consoles in account,

No problem. Try telling them that modding the 3DS only adds a little extra functionality to the console, it doesn't take anything away from the console. Everything a plain 3DS can do is the same after modding it, the difference is that there is some extra coding in there that can be activated as and when you want to use it. It's like putting an extension on a house; you don't need to use it, but it's there for when you want it.
There are lots of benefits involved with CFW that Nintendo will never give to people. Being able to back up saves, copy your games and preserve them, mod them if you want to, play the game without the cartridge (which will help when the shop closes and you can't buy digital-only games anymore).
The CFW you've put on the console ensures that it doesn't decrease in usability and value once Nintendo close the online services.
You've not installed some criminal's illegal code, you've use community-made tools that are safe and professionally made.
