As the title states, I am attempting to repair a DS lite that will not charge and is showing some classic symptoms, i.e. orange light flashes for a second when plugged in then goes out, and the console will not power on. Most sources say to check the F1 and F2 fuses, along with the EM10 filter. These all check out with a multimeter, and I get a voltage reading on the F2 fuse when the charger is plugged in so it is not likely to be the charging port either. The battery it came with is totally dry but I tested with a working battery and still could not get the charging light to stay on. I'm basically at a loss as to what it could be, there is no water damage or any obvious broken components. Not sure if this is the right forum, but if anyone has any hardware troubleshooting information or a place to look next it would be greatly appreciated.
The same happened to me, the F1 Fuse is open. The console did not turn on, and when i plug the charger light flashes one second. After changing the fuse, everything started to work (in my case).

Try to check the fuses F1 and F2 once again and be sure that your battery is good. If even so the console won't boot up, maybe there's a problem with one of your screens (or both of them) but before you test them you can try to turn the console on without the Wifi board and see if the light stays green and if so, it's a good signal then you can test your screens.
You can test the screens by soldering a 330 ohm smd resistor to LEDA2 and LEDC2 points closer to the D-pad on the motherboard to test if your problem is the upper screen or same value resistor to PIN 41 and PIN 38 (those are alternate pins to LEDA2 and LEDC2) and to test if the problem is the upper screen just solder the resistor to LEDA1 and LEDC1 points next to the ribbon connector of the lower screen

I've known fuses to blow on DS Lite's from something as simple as it being sat on or dropped, I believe the bottom screen slightly moves causing the motherboard to short which is why I would recommend testing the board out of the shell first and if you replace fuses etc again test it out of the shell first.
So many people suggesting to check the fuses when OP clearly stated that was already checked. I have several with the same issue, most of the ones I've seen have liquid damage and corroded vias all over the board. I have one board that looks pristine, vias all look good, but has the same issue. Orange light flashes and then goes out when attaching the charger. Does not charge, does not power on, no flicker on the screens. I've tried replacing the battery, both screens, the wifi module, checked fuses F1 and F2 have continuity, checked the filter below the charge port.
