This is an experimental firmware to force the replacement of the EZ-FLASH OMEGA failsafe firmware to FW9, so that you will not be asked to upgrade the firmware every time you boot up, and you can receive the benefits of the latest firmware instead the older firmware.

Because this upgrade involves a forced overwrite of the fail-safe firmware, please upgrade it on a working and fully powered GBA device (not on the Analogue Pocket).

During the upgrade process, the firmware needs to be written twice, which means you will encounter the situation of pressing the A button to confirm twice times.

If you do not have an Analogue Pocket and EZ-FLASH OMEGA, please do not try to use this file, we are not responsible for any damage caused by using this file, and this file will not be stored on the official EZ-FLASH server.

I've updated my Omega using a GBA Micro and it appears to work fine now in the Analogue Pocket. I'll give it some more testing later today if I can find the time.

Does this mean you all finally got a Pocket? If so have you been able to replicate the issue that the EZ-Flash Jr sometimes refuses to boot on the Pocket?

This is off-topic, but does the EZ-FLASH OMEGA create .SAV files like with emulators and MiSTer or does it it make different file formats like with the EverDrive GBA?

They're all .sav files for GBA games, and just changing the file ending makes them compatible with the Everdrive. Saves from the goomba emulator are .esv and have a different internal structure but you can convert them with a few online tools. Not sure about the other emulators.

Thanks, but this was more about knowing if all the save files would be compatible with the GBA core of MiSTer FGPA.

Sadly I don't have a mister but they were compatible with all other emulators I've tried so far over the years, so I'd assume they'd also work right away with the Mister.

A quick search has someone on reddit successfully moving an Everdrive GBA Mini save to the mister after renaming it to .sav, so Omega saves should be compatible right as they are on the MicroSD card.

Hi there! Is there a way to redo this firmware? I have just updated this firmware, but the omega won't read my save files on the analogue, but it still works fine on my GBAsp, is there a way to fix this?
