So I just wanted to hack my switch one day and I was wondering if it was patched. I checked and it isn't. So I went to switch.hacks.guide and I followed the guide up to the injecting payload section. I plugged it in and Pulled up TegraRCMgui and injected TegraExplorer. To no avail. Nothing showed up on the switch's screen. I tried using other payloads. Using different USB cables and even trying a different newer computer and to no avail.

I tried all that and nothing has helped. Can someone please help me?

Payloads I tried:
TegraExplorer
Lockpick_RCM
Heckate

Stuff I used:
256GB Micro sd
USB C Cable. (Tried multiple different ones)
RCM JIG

OS: Windows 10

Not doing anything funky with VMs or anything are you? Just straight up PC?

You installed the driver?

If you have a Android phone yiu could try the Rekado app.

Hmmm. Not sure that will work but I like the initiative to just try it.

e: just so you know you’re not crazy, 0x7000 is the return code for a succes. Your switch is definitely unpatched so that’s good news.

That worked but should I follow the same tutorial at switch.hacks.guide? also what does it mean but press any key.

First of all make a backup of your SD card's content and remove everything, then format it to FAT32 (refer to this https://rentry.org/FAT32FormatSD, choose MiniTool).

Next follow this guide https://rentry.org/BackupRestoreNAND to make a so-called NAND backup as the very first step before you start "the real hacking" (refer to this on how to inject payloads https://rentry.org/SwitchPayloadLaunch).

After you did the NAND backup and moved it to your PC to a safe-place (don't need it on your SD card anymore), follow this guide to set up an emuNAND https://rentry.org/EristaEmuNAND (choose whether emuNAND type you want to use, the only advantage there really is, is that file-based is easily accesible in case you switch SD cards).
Keep in mind that an emuNAND is a 1:1 copy of your sysNAND (stock's internal memory), so whatever savegames or installed games to the system where on it will be also present at your emuNAND (at least at the time of creation, afterwards both sys and emuNAND are independent from each other). I'd also recommend to turn off the cloud saving function before you make an emuNAND because it can cause issues (if you had it enabled). Additionally also enable airplane mode beforehand aswell, just in case.

Additionally, read up on this for ban-prevention https://rentry.org/AvoidSwitchBan (the previous guide for emuNAND covers setting the protection up).

If you want to install local backups to your emuNAND, refer to this https://rentry.org/NSUSBInstall .

If in the future you want to update your emuNAND, refer to this https://rentry.org/UpgradeDowngrade .

Just means you’re missing the rest of the Hekate files on the SDcard. Essentially you need to Just unzip Helate.x.x.x.zip and Atmosphere.x.x.zip at the top of yiur card and you’re almost there.

Heres the guide I use: https://rentry.co/SwitchHackingIsEasy

it’s good to read up on these things before you have an issue so you can quickly troubleshoot.

e: press any key means the (vol +), (vol -) for Up and Down movement and (power) button for select.

Please, do a NAND backup BEFORE DO ANYTHING, you need to follow all instructions to the letter and if you miss some you could get in to a place requiring restore of your backup, is better have one and NEVER need it what need a backup and have nothing.
