Hacking How to use the real time save function of an R4 card?

I'm using an R4 Gold pro card 2019 edition. It has the Real time save (RTS) function too. I turned on the RTS for a game that I'm playing but I don't know how to save/load anything. I'm currently using the games in built normal save game function. But I would like to use the emulator like save state which I think is what RTS is...

I'm using DS lite. I have seen an article on how to use the RTS on a 3DS on a website called indestructibles. But that method didn't work for me.

I'm using the latest kernal that I got from r4isdhc. That was the website mentioned on the box and I downloaded it from there. This is my first time dealing with an r4 and I did manage to successfully get games running without any issues. Only this RTS function I want to know how to use...

I messed up editing a message but I basically said give me a minute to get my identical card

Okay so
from the main menu go to config and make sure it says upgrade on.
next go back to the nds game selection
highlight your game then press b thrice then enable rts for that game then hit save (twice for extra measure)
after that load your game the key combo is
"L,R,A,B,↓" this will bring up your rts saving and loading menu

It worked! The mistake I kept doing was that I kept trying to input the combo like I would activate a cheat code. And that was be releasing the button after pressing them. But after trying it by holding the buttons on that order of pressing it worked. Thanks.

Is this combination "L,R,A,B,↓" works when I use YSMenu?

Hey! In my case it shows to get 'update' on from off i have to recover a file, but real time save still works and the command in my case is L+R+B, A but whenever I shut down my ds and load the game it doesn't load what should I do. And sorry for the bad english

In my case it shows to recover a file to get upgrade on and the command in my case is L+R+B and A. And when I try to load after shutting down ds it doesn't loads. Please give me a solution
