Hello,

I was wondering, I have found this:

https://www.amazon.com/Security-Vloggers-Filmmakers-Photographers-Videographer/dp/B0B4W31D1G/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3GPNWFKK3PQVW&keywords=512+gb+sd+card&qid=1660004904&sprefix=512+gb+sd+card,aps,182&sr=8-7

Are those card real for the Price Or Fake? How can Amazon resale Fake SD cards if that is the case??
I remember in 2018, they did sale a lot of fake micro SD card with wrong size on Wish....but on AMAZON????

Has anyone tried those card, because I even saw a 1GB Sd Card for 30€....250MB/S
So are the other sellers like Transcend/Sandisk/Lexar and others selling their SD much much too high price??
They seems to have an "agreement" from all the "big ones manufacturer" to sell the Micro sd/Sd card at the highest price as possible whereas True production is no so expensive for them!!!

They aren't really scams, they're more like super low quality SD Cards. I mean you can get one if you want, it'll legitimately be the size listed, but.. the speeds will be horrendous and it'll probably die on you within a month.

It wont be
Depends on the listing, friend of mine bought one that looked exactly the same as the one OP provided, it was genuinely 512 gigs, but it corrupted itself and died about 2 weeks later. Anyways it doesnt matter if it is legitimate or not, even if it was it still wouldnt be worth cheaping out on. Just buy a name brand and be on your way lol

likely wasn't, these cards report fake sizes and when you attempt to copy a file bigger than the actual size, it will loop back around and copy over the begining of the card so that the copy does not fail. of course the data is completely corrupted. hence what probably happen to your friend when he finally hit the real size limit of the card.

20 bucks for 512gb sounds way too low to be a legit card.
Its quite likely there are good legit cards out there on amazon. But there is the chance that scam cards are in the mix without them knowing.

Korozin "They aren't really scams, they're more like super low quality SD Cards. I mean you can get one if you want, it'll legitimately be the size listed, but.. the speeds will be horrendous and it'll probably die on you within a month. "

Thing is, I think this is something "NEW" from rebels firms, the size seems will be Legit, I think the lifespan will be shorter, but korozin might be wrong because it's seems they have improved (maybe) the lifespan to 2/3 years whereas the others would last 12 years.

And I think you are right for the speed. Thing is, I wonder if you can get a refund from amazon if the sd cards die quickly (within a year) or the size is not what is announced.
Maybe because it's also some manufacturer are rebels, and don't accept the coalition of firms like Transcend/Sandisk/Lexar for what they do: Keep price has high as possible

Well. Seeing as they have listed a 30 day return, refund policy. They aint going to do much, if anything, outside that window.

There are a few customer reviews on the seller's page that the SD cards corrupted so they're very likely scams. Yes, the big companies will only be willing to sell their own cards at a decent profit but you'll at least be getting a card that actually works as advertised and doesn't just self implode after a few gb got written.

Either buy the real deal or you'll be paying twice, once for a broken product and a second time for the working item you should have bought the first time around.

Yes it is clearly a scam. Don’t waste your time. I mean, did anybody here check out those two 5 star reviews posted a day apart? lol

These things are usually very low capacity cards that’ve has their reported capacity altered using software. So you’ll likely get something like a 16 GB card that’ll mysteriously corrupt your files. Just buy a Sandisk or something.

Just make sure it’s the actual Amazon, as I’ve seen ‘fake’ Amazon accounts show up in the past and still test the card on arrival as I’ve heard fakes slip through time to time.

Recently on unraid’s forum they had to stop recommending Sandisk USB drives from Amazon because either Sandisk had changed their manufacturing process or the supply chain was compromised and fakes were slipping through.

Well. Seeing as they have listed a 30 day return, refund policy. They aint going to do much, if anything, outside that window.

I only have experience with Amazon UK, but generally after 30 days you just have to chat with them to get any retailer warranty honoured.

There’s only 1 time I recall having issues and that was because it was a third party on Amazon who was no longer on the site, so Amazon only offered some credit.
