What about microSD vs Flash drive vs External HDD in terms of speed and durability?
Hard drive - Micro - Flash / thumb drive. In terms of speed. Any of those can die at any moment s the tech is shit. They can also last 20 years like xbox og drives but mileage is random / varies.

One more reason I should have gotten a microSD card instead of a Flash Drive for the PS TV but I was told the latter lasted longer than the former.

people still use ps3? lol
Yes. Why is that so surprising?.

It has games you can't get/play on PS4, for example, Tekken Tag HD.

You can play the PS2 to PS4 conversion, but this HD Remaster? Nope.

Anyway, people play much older consoles and as time goes PS3 will be appreciated as an "old" console. Xbox 360 certainly too. They don't feel old, they're modern consoles to me, still.

I was playing mega man anniversary collection on the ps2, but with a ps5 controller. nes games, with a ps5 controller. :P the main reason I don't use my retron is the remixed music, which I like a lot, though it's odd that not all stages have remixed tracks. seems kinda cheap. what's even more cheap is the fact that remixed tracks only exist (via navi) on the ps2 and xbox original. gamecube does not have remixed tracks. maybe the game was just too big as I think gc discs only hold about 1.4GBs.

Are you using a DualSense along the Brook Super Converter? Do you know if the latter works with a PS2 Multitap and in a PS1/PS Classic?

yes, brook. I don't know the answer to your question, but the ps classic uses usb while the brook I'm using has a ps2 controller connection, so that wouldn't work with the same device. you can buy wireless controllers that plug into the usb ports. I bought some that look like ps1 controllers, though they're kinda cheap feeling.

Then it's weird why I saw that this Brook Super Converter was also for the PS Classic.

What about DualShock 3/4 and DualSense? Do they work and are the analog sticks supported? Does one have lag when playing games from USB and can one remove games which came with the PS Classic?

well, people fucked them up, because they didn't know what they were doing.
They knew enough to get them running, that is all. If you don't like it, I suggest you ask for a refund.

I think it's more difficult to find physical versions (JB) than digital ones (.pkg) and I prefer the former.
I agree, pkg are annoying. Obviously there is still the issue of the games being illegal to download, so finding them is a bit tricky.

Do you know if folder file format/.iso games have more lag if running from USB than from the PS3's HDD or when compared to game discs or .pkg games?

Also, do you think PSN links will be removed in the future and because of that it's better if one buys the physical edition and not the digital one?

there's possibly one for the classic, but it's not the one I'm using.

You could contact them if you're interested in buying it.

On PS2, I like using the mini MadCatz wireless translucent controller. Feels very comfortable despite "big" hands.

I already have a Brook Super Converter but I think it's only for the PS2.

It mentions PS1 so it should work as long as it's indicated.

As for the USB, PS3 uses 2.0 so it's a question of testing it out. I have a 16GB stick (might be 1.0) fine for small stuff though big files it takes quite a while whereas a 3.0 USB formatted to FAT32 runs fairly fast or as fast as USB 2.0 allows.

I personally wouldn't run games off a USB unless it was super tiny, like the Samsung 128GB connected to my PS2 Slim (well, I've not seen it in a year so hopefully it's still there).

USB on ps2 slim will have stutter on fmv etc. The new micro sd memory card MC2iso / MX4ISO or whatver its called fixes this.
