Sorry for the possible bump but I do listen to albums, I feel like people don't really do it anymore simply because they only want to listen to the big hits (singles). However, some album songs in general can be way better than just that one big single

I mostly have random stuff playing in the background but if I am doing it to actually listen then I tend to go with vinyl which is much more of an experience in itself. I don't have any decent headphones at the moment though which is hampering my enjoyment.

Music is my oxygen, to be honest, I can hardly imagine myself listening to a single track or a compilation, in fact, at home it's very, very rare that I don't take the time to listen to an entire album, to me, it's a canvas, a story, an atmosphere, a clever mix of texts, visuals and music.

It's funny, today, I asked myself this question: would it be serious to ask the same question for a book? It would be a bit ridiculous as a situation, like "hey, I like this book because it has good passages with good quotes, on the other hand, I haven't read it, I don't know what it's about apart from the excerpts that I know"

Honestly, I think it's due to the evolution of media but in the end, good music is one that remains timeless.
