Xenoblade Chronicles 3 leaks online a week ahead of release

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 isn't out yet, but some already have the game in their hands. How? Someone has dumped an XCI copy of the game, and it's floating about on the internet. This has been fairly standard for recent Nintendo Switch releases, following week early leaks for Mario Party Superstars, Metroid Dread, and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond. The latest entry in the Xenoblade series will officially be out on July 29th. Please remember that GBAtemp's Terms of Service do not allow linking to warez or illegal content, and any violators of this rule will be punished.

Perks of having a modded switch :grog:

I'm surprised that nintendo is taking their sweet ass time taking down switch rom sites. Clearly they don't care about the 3ds/wii u anymore, as there are several 3ds/wii u rom distribution sites that are still up and running(which I won't link to), but they just refuse to take down switch rom sites.

I managed to get the special edition (what a nightmare that was), but you only get the game on release, then the art book and case in the fall. I might sell the game or keep sealed. I bought a download code from best buy. Got one for live a live today, and I didn't have to input a code. It just gave me a link to the eshop, which worked.

It's like a hydra... Take one head off, multiple take its place. Even if Nintendo found a way to effectively combat these sites, it'd cost them much more than it's worth.

They are going after one of the big ones as you can see if you read the below article, I have excerpted part, but I'm not sure if you can name a place for the purpose of news, even if you aren't linking to it, so I used censorship .

From Major & Persistent Video Game Pirates Investigated by ESA on TorrentFreak:

[censored] – A Thorn in the Side of Nintendo

[censored] (previously branded [censored]) offers links to pirated games for most platforms, including PC. In particular, the ESA has previously highlighted the importance of the site to the Nintendo Switch piracy market. In September 2021, the site carried 5,500 posts linking to game downloads for the popular console, including its most recently launched titles.
ESA recently reported that takedown notices sent to [censored] are routinely ignored, and because the site uses Cloudflare, its operators are harder to identify.
In an attempt to remedy the latter, this month ESA obtained a DMCA subpoena against Cloudflare ordering the disclosure of names, physical addresses, IP addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, payment information, and account updates/histories of the [censored] operators.
[Entertainment Software Association (ESA) counts gaming giants Nintendo, EA, Activision, Epic, and Ubisoft among its members.]

I wonder if a certain slab of rom will have this...

Oh hey it does, except that the background art is clearly that of XC2 with the XC3 logo slapped on. Oops.
