Hacking Homebrew ROM Hack Ci need help with backups

So when I was hacking my 3ds xl the tutorial I was using said to copy my 3ds files off of the SD card. Which it said was a backup.
So how do I put that backup back on my 3ds?
Pls Answer ASAP

so i can use the old files and make a nand backup with that if there on the sd card

What old files? GM9 and Luma3DS? No, use the ones that are on the page i linked to above.

I thought you didn't have a nand backup?

Just post a pic what file you're talking about. And redo all the steps on the guide i linked to, just to be sure.
Also, i hope your sd card was tested with h2testw. Otherwise it needs to be..

That's all the files and folders you have on the sd card? No Luma3DS, no GodMode9 no nothing?

Well, if that's all you have (backup or not) then you don't have a nand backup. And you need to redo the "Finalizing process" again.

Maybe telling what thing went wrong exactly in the video could help, he did a nand backup, the hack in 3ds are just boot9strap and safeboot, both are installed in the nand you do not backup that and the cfw like luma, you just need boot.firm file in the ctr nand or sd to start the console, everthing else is not needed, even reading the whole tread I did not understand the thing you did wrong, maybe restoring slots in wifi connection or nand...

then try explaining what it is that you think you did wrong, or where in the video you believe you encountered the problem. you could cite the minute mark. with no idea where your problem truly lies people have no idea how to begin to help you
