I could be wrong but I believe that injects can't use USB devices to store game saves due to only Wii U formatted USB devices being able to be used so they must use the SD card slot. I know @pedro702 will correct me if I'm wrong.
well you can inject the game onto a wiiu formatted hdd so it becomes a wiiu inject that way you can use usb and wiiugamepad but at the cost of each game needing its own inject on wiiu menu.

but yes injects cant use fat32 usb only wiiu formated one and single injects.

I have a question about gamecube saves. I am launching my gamecube games on my Wii U through USB Loader GX and Nintendont. My games are stored on my USB drive. I am noticing that my gamecube saves are being stored in usb:/saves. This is fine and everything is working well.

I recently started trying out launching Gamecube games using GC Injects using UWUVCI. Everything works great except I noticed when launching games via the inject that my saves are now being stored in sd:/saves (this took me 2 days to figure out why my game saves were blank, lol).

I would like the saves to be in the same location so that whether I start a game using an inject from the Wii U homescreen or through USB Loader GX on the vWii that I can use the same save files. Anyone have any ideas how to change where nintendont is saving the files? Thanks.
nintendont stores the saves where your isos are, if your isos are on sd it will store in sd if they are on usb they will be on usb, nintendont cant mount both devices at the same time so no way to store saves on usb while playing games from sd or vice versa, also if you are using injects on wiiu menu nintendont cant acess usb fat32 so all saves will always be sd only, just copy your saves folder there too i guess.

to use fat32 usb on nintendont on a wiiu you must start vwii and start nintendont from homebrew channel or usbloadergx from there, you loose wiiugamepad support but keep all functions like on a regular wii.

I'm not complaining or anything, but would these dots in Prince of Persia be intertwined image?
they are the only games like this on NGC, when I put them on Dolphin it doesn't look like this

More than likely this is dithering, which Dolphin can sort of fix by somehow improving the color depth, however, that's not a feature original HW supports. You can try forcing a video mode with deflicker filter enabled, it'll smooth the picture out somewhat, but also might hide dithering.

those are not the only games, other games do this too you only notice it more on some games.

Also dolphin is an emulator nintendont is not, emulators can make games look 10 times better.

this is alpha dithering check here https://www.resetera.com/threads/ga...rew-comparisons-show-a-huge-difference.91118/

@pedro702

What devkitPPC/libOGC/portlibs/etc are you using for compiling Nintendont?
I'd like to compile it but with arguments support, (specifically @libertyernie's base64 patch).
I can compile it with the latest, at least last time I compiled it. you do need zip and maybe unzip depedencies, which you can get with pacman. I don't recall other dependencies. are you not able to compile it?

Ok. Managed to compile the official Nintendont source code, using latest devkiPPC and other stuff.
i've opened a repo with that mod here: https://github.com/saulfabregwiivc/Nintendont-autoboot/tree/b64-autoboot-gcn-games

I will upload later the loader.dol file i've compiled with the base64 arguments mod for help me test it, i can't test on Dolphin because since it compiles also using devkitARM Dolphin can't emulate the ARM architecture used on Nintendont.

For learn how to make and use base64 arguments for autoboot GCN games with Nintendont, look here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...ader-for-games-skip-the-emulator-menu.520525/

@godreborn

Try this loader.dol i've compiled with the tutorial i've posted when you get a chance.
It should work for autobooting GCN games.

https://github.com/saulfabregwiivc/...autoboot-gcn-games/loader/loader.dol?raw=true

Tutorial: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...ader-for-games-skip-the-emulator-menu.520525/
I tested it. it worked, but home to exit freezes the console. also, save emulation does not work. I tested it with the nintendont forwarder after that (testing on a wiiu). both of those work correctly there, so something is up with the boot.dol it creates for the apps folder.

I'm sure this issue has been resolved somewhere in the 3000 pages of this thread but. having an issue that just started after a bad game inject. Everything was working fine and now I can't get Nintendont to play any gamecube games or even open the hard drive through the loader itself (as I have done before to fix the black screen issue). Also using latest version as updated through nintendont as well as this thread. All games are injects on 1 Wiiu formatted drive and were working just fine. Anyone have an idea to fix this besides just playing my GC from sd card please?

6.498
Spe 5 2021
firmware 58.25.32

Everyting was working until I tried to play Paper Mario Thousand year door for the first time and it froze upon loading. Now even after running decaffinator and resetting/re homebrewing, all my GC games freeze upon launch from home menu since nintendont can't open the hard drive that was working fine when last I tried.
