Hacking DVD-R backup errors out after strap screen?

i have a backup of Mario Kart Wii on a DVD-R, i've tested the disk after burning using Dolphin, and it worked, but i tried the following to no avail:

  • USB Loader GX's DVD load option
  • Neogamma without rebooter
  • Neogamma with rebooter
  • TinyLoad
  • Wiimmfi Patcher
idk what to do at this point, pls help

"Worked using Dolphin" isn't very helpful. PC drives are much better at reading burned media compared to the Wii. In addition to that emulators are often able to run stuff that doesn't on real hardware.

Try the following:
  • Check for read errors by dumping the DVD-R to HDD right on the Wii
  • Try another game on DVD-R (or DVD+R with booktype set to DVD-ROM)
  • Compare the .iso file to redump if possible. Dump the original disc again

"Worked using Dolphin" isn't very helpful. PC drives are much better at reading burned media compared to the Wii. In addition to that emulators are often able to run stuff that doesn't on real hardware.

Try the following:

i got an unrecovered read error from Cleanrip on an official wii fit disc, what do i do?

That just means the disc is damaged somehow. It might need cleaning, it might be fatal, it might be harmless.
My Crystal Chronicles disc doesn't rip properly, but if I use Nkit to trim my bad dump, it then checksums correctly for a trim (which means the damage is harmless)

redump keeps saying DVD-R and stopping, and USBLGX keeps freezing at 100% and not doing anything onscreen, idk what to do
