updated to ofw and stuck in loop

I had cfw but updated to 4.89 ofw via internet and tried to do it the second time but it was from usb from sony website and then the second time it had an error

i cannot overwrite the update with a 4.89 pup file or hfw

is it possible to have a pup that is a 4.89 patch that updates via internet

i cannot access the xmb menu and i want to get back to cfw dont know if its the security of the new firmware stopping it from updating dont think i will redo e3 flasher

or is there any other solution

you may have no choice but to reformat the hdd. I've never used bguerville toolbox, but you'll probably have to use the e3 now, if you updated. I don't think he has plans to release it for 4.89 due to lack of donations.

oh no ive reformatted to fat32 a lot of times... but ive tried updating and it doesnt work without error
i dont think i have my e3 flasher anymore...

did you format again after the error? I'm not sure what to tell you about being on ofw 4.89, and I don't blame bguerville for doing what he's doing. I mean 95% of sceners are just leechers who don't really respect the time, and in this case money, that a small minority invest to the scenes.

well its ok but ive reformatted fat32 separately with 30gb partition to avoid the update freeze and updated with ofw but it just freezes at 40% and fails i think my ps3 is broken...

when i take out the drive i see a lot of folders and files with encrypted letters and numbers

bought one already it was the same unfortunately
