AVGN and his thumbnails being changed for a third time

I'm a longtime fan of this YouTube channel and it irks me when something bad happens to it, this time it's that they've changed the thumbnails again! Why?!

Heck, it's not even the third time, but the fourth. Or maybe a fifth time.. I'm just losing track of it.

1st Time - Originals
2nd Time - Mike Matei (AVGN face on all)
3rd Time - Mike Matei 2.0 thumbnails (newly drawn thumbnails)
4th Time - Screenwave Media
5th Time - Screenwave Media 2.0

What's up with that? I was honestly fine with the 4th update while the 5th looks a bit out of place.

I'm not surprised if they'll change a 6th time. Screenwave just keeps fucking it up and it wasn't even broken until they changed it.

Anyway, seen the new episode and personally did not like although the majority loved it. It felt like a "filler" episode than a quality episode to me.

Screenwave seems to be in control of that aspect than James himself. If he cared, he'd have told them to stop changing it.

I don't get it. He is supposed to bring us back to the past, yet he is constantly changing his stuff. Makes no sense.

I haven't watched avgn in years. I like his earlier videos far more, since they were more about the games than cinematography. show us the shitiness of the games. that's all I care about.

He's not in control of all the aspects like in the older eps. There's a bunch of people now that write, edit etc. And he just gets into character and read the lines. It is no longer just HIS show anymore..

one of my favorites is when he's removing the posters from a Nintendo Power magazine. haha, there's so much truth there. he tears a big hole in the poser, "oh, fuuuuck!"

Well, from what i've seen it's just decent. And some eps are better than others, if it's something like a Halloween or Christmas special. But yeah, the charm is gone.

I like them basic. rocky is a perfect example of something that is slightly above that, which I don't mind. his sonic '06 two-parter was okay.

could be, but I think a lot of his fans are around the same age or grew up with Nintendo or Atari. it may not have been an issue back then, but when think back, you do have to laugh at all the shit in the gaming scene. what makes it even funnier is that to get around the Atari lack of quality, Nintendo had a seal of approval on games, yet there's so much shit still. haha.

I watched that episode again a few days ago and seeing him rip the posters was kind of painful considering that wasn't in print anymore.

Shitty thumbnails aside, most episodes are still superb.
