I strongly disagree with that statement. For me tracks like Spiel Mit Mir, Mein Herz Brennt, Feuer Frei!, Zwitter, Benzin, and Führe Mich are all heavier. And let's not forget about Puppe. That has to be THE single, most dark sounding, and heaviest thing they have ever done.
Also. regarding the higher bit and kHz discussion, keep in mind the only purpose having the higher numbers serves is work like mixing and mastering. It serves zero purpose for the end user listening and all the "High-Res" audio being sold is nothing but snake oil. Not brickwalling the mix/master and allowing for nice open dynamics is FAR, FAR, FAR more important to a clean sound than 24/32 bit or 96/192 kHz
