Hello to all!
So I recently found out that you can install 360 games on your Series X/S using the Xbox app, regardless of whether it is digital-only or physical.
A question popped in my mind, If you install an NTSC 360 game using the Xbox app,( all of them are NTSC I believe) and use a game disc that is from a different region, would it load the NTSC version? or would it load the disc version that is from a different region?
I'm asking this because I have been looking for a 360 game, and in my country, for some reason, I've only found the Japan import (NTSC-J) version of it even though I don't live in Japan.
I haven't seen the NTSC or Europe version.
Any thoughts?

that is not how xbox works ...

the disc is just to read the game id, after the gameid is readed the disc doesnt do anything at all, its just for drm, then xbox will go to the servers and find if that gameid is avaliable on xbox servers to download, if it is it will download that version only.

so if you have a jap disc you can play the jap version on a pal xbox just fine.

if you have a jap version it will only allow you download and play jap version.

you can just buy the ntsc digital version or whatever your region is digitally on the store, no need to buy a physical disc, let alone jap one.
