So I bought a refurb 2DS XL directly from Nintendo, softmodded it and everything was perfect until I noticed that the battery was drained when I was going to use it. After a bit of back and forth troubleshooting I found that the culprit was the power button, it powers on/off the device randomly or if I just touch it without pressing...how can Nintendo solder a power button without support? It's just there as you see in my pic, it seems that over time it stresses the solder points or something. I haven' t found the part online and shops near me don' t have it either. Posting here to see if someone know about it or what.

It could be an issue with the solder joints but I doubt it, there isn't that much force applied to it. It may just be the button that is itself faulty, you can try to clean it with electronic wd-40 or simple isopropyl alcohol

I thought so but if I lightly press anywhere on top it turns on/off so the solder points are more likely, but I can' t find the whole part online to let someone solder it.

So it was badly soldered by Nintendo, it sometimes happen. There's some part on Aliexpress but I don't know if it can be trusted quality wise. But sometimes just resoldering it will help so you can at least try that
