[Question] Can somewhane help me to compile this .nds homebrew game?

For me, the .nds runs and recognizes the .wads I get from wadgen when I use .z64 roms from the internet. I get into the opening logos, settings, and difficulty select just fine, but when I select a difficulty I get this error. I tried updating to the latest r4 firmware and using a couple different roms that worked with wadgen but got this error every time. Is there some other loader I should be using?
Did you used the WadGen from the source code?

Yes, with the content folder moved up next to it inside \doom64DS-master-modified-godreborn-src\wadgen\msvc6\bin. Generates a .WAD from .z64 roms, never from .n64 ones, but the ones it does generate give that error.

Hey, is it ok if you guys could lend me everything i need to run this on my ds lite? I have my R4 card ready to go with the .nds file and with the wad file, I just need whatever it is to run it. I've been trying to use the Drunken Coders hbmenu but that gives me the error "iwad not found." And yes, I have it all in the same directory. What can I do? Or could you guys lend me the doom 64 iwad and the sound file, along with the .nds file?

not sure what went wrong the first time, but I just compiled the nds file again as well as generated the wad, and it worked. it's 1KB larger than the previous build, so I deleted that one. here's the new one:

Every time I load it, it shows this error saying "W_GetNumForName: LOADING not found!"

EDIT: Its the rom WAD. Could you send the WAD?

Other Edit: Nevermind, figured it out!

glad you figured it out. I saw this post, and I forgot about till now. just came to it to see if you needed some help.

I have the exact same issue with this homebrew on my DS lite - using the exact same files on my 2DS solves the issue.

So it might very well be flashcard related
(Mine says R4 SDHC 2021 r4isdhc.com.cn) Everything else works on it :unsure:

Funny thing is, I tried launching it with twilight menu on my 3ds, and it worked fine there, but it has a problem on the ds lite

I know twilight menu automatically dldi patches roms, so maybe I need to find the right dldi patch? thing is, The default patch won't install onto the rom, and the AceKard patch does nothing, so I don't know which patch to use

afaik, you need a flash cart that's capable of patching the rom in real time. that's probably why it doesn't work for some people.
