Hello! I recently got a new N3dsXL to replace my broken one in the meantime until I fix it (& for collecting.) I intend to transfer everything from the other to this one; all the save data, files, everything, essentially duplicating it onto the new system. I’ve been doing research for a while, and all solutions I’ve found either require the main system to work, are too risky or complicated to follow, or involve calling Nintendo or something which I can’t do.

I’ll try to explain my situation as specifically as possible, because I think I may just be getting confused or mixed up (adhd and autism diseasing my brain rn,,)

I have two N3DSXLs which are both modded. One of them cannot boot. I want to transfer everything from the first system to the new one, as in the games, save data, everything- Nothing left behind. I am going to use the same micro SD card I used on the broken one for thsi one, as I don’t have a new one to put the data on and it came with one that’s too small to use. The new system was factory reset & I just had it set up using PicHaxx. I did make backups of the completely blank small mSD and the old system’s mSD, just to be safe. Basically, I wanna do a full system transfer without the official system transfer tool & without losing anything.

Is this possible? No hardmods, if possible!

Ty : )

I’ve been looking around and think I found an answer I can follow, yes! Posted this here initially because I wasn’t having any luck.

Saves backed up by Checkpoint are easy to restore on any other system. if not, it is complicated to decrypt them, and will require you to have certain system files..
For games, in your case, you'll have to just reinstall the games again, there's no other way around it.
All other folders should remain on the sd card, like cias & 3ds folders (and others). Though the "Nintendo 3DS" folder from the older 3ds are unusable by the new system, so just take them from there.

It's not possible.
