hi guys,
here's a switch games thread on games that "might" release this year if nintendo ever revels anything at a future direct, or not,
it's just pure speculation/hope for some cool/new games.

these would be nice to see happen or at somepoint this year or the 23/24/25 etc..

1) Zelda BOTW 2 (2022?)
2) Xenoblade Chroniclaes 3
3) Fire emblem 4 + 5 or FE3H squel/spinoff
4) Goldensun trilogy/ reboot colletion (like how advance wars reboot camp 1 + 2 is made ATM)
5) bloodstained ROTN 2
6) Metroid Prime 4 (if this ever comes out, it's a meme now)
7) New donky kong 3d switch

etc..

Only 3 games on that list interest me. Xeno, zelda, metroid. Not bothered about the rest 😂

yeah, i've played and beat xeno 1 on switch and now got 2 in cart form & dlc, a xeno 3 would be nice to see,
i read a report that said a xeno 3 game might be coming as the VA of mella was asked about this in an interview sometime ago,

and said that xeno 3 might be based around mella and such, not sure if this is 100% ture or just remours, but the article was up on gamespot website.

zelda botw 2 is coming, just not sure if it is this year or in 23? i hope this year, but that might be an understatement,
nintendo disappointed us zelda fans for the 35th zelda, just hope that zelda botw 2 comes out to amend for that lame excuse they made for a 35th anviersray.

metroid, dread is nice, still having got my copy of it yet, planning too soon, but prime 4 (if that ever comes out), it's been like forever and more since they annocned that 2017 and going, if that game is still on and not dead meat, i mean the switch is 5 years of age now and still no prime 4, lol i really wonder what the hell they are doing with it?

I still believe the 2022 release window for BOTW2 will be met. As mentioned that Mario Kart 9 rumor seems to have some steam behind it, perhaps that could get revealed and release this year. I don't see Metroid Prime coming this year, but I can see it finally getting shown off and maybe the Prime Trilogy HD will release this year. Other than that, maybe Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD will get Switch ports this year too, though I think if that were to happen, it'd be soon here, like release before Spring ends because I imagine BOTW2 will be a holiday release, and they'll want some time between those titles I'd think.

What I'd love to see is some insane modern take on a long dead franchise get revealed. Like Ice Climbers or StarTropics. Just something that no one sees coming and could reinvigorate a dead franchise while hyping up the bigger Nintendo fans.

I think a metroid prime trilogy remaster is a good option, to minimize the wait for prime 4. But, being nintendo, probably we will get some new mii game for smartphones...

That's silly, their mobile devs have no impact on time it takes for the devs making their console games. Time for their mobile dev team to make a Mii game is not time taken away from the team that would be in charge of such a Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster.

May be not, but if nintendo has to choose to fund a team or another for a project, they will think money first. Metroid never sold very well, its almost a cult game, and mobile games like fire emblem heroes, example, makes billions for nintendo in a couple years... Just saying.

That's silly too, yeah they want to make money, but they also aren't running short on funds. If Nintendo perceives that a Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster would sell well enough to make any kind of profit (which after nearly 3 million sales of Dread already, outlook is good on that prospect), then they'll happily throw money at that kind of project, especially since it's a remaster and not building a game from the ground up. And with rumors for awhile that the Trilogy Remaster has been worked on and potentially even done and just waiting for the right time to be released, I just don't see how Nintendo would be in a situation where they must decide, "We can only do a Mii mobile game or the Metroid Prime Trilogy remaster, not both. There is NO way there are funds in the budget to make both!!"

I gave metroid as example, but it could be any game. Fire emblem, by the way, is one.

-hey, gonna make new fire emblem.
-Yes, make for smartphones.

They sure has funds to spare, but if have to choose (I didn't say they always have), but if, they will always choose easy money. if a bad year or something, for example.

Nintendo could have made a whole new metroid prime trilogy for the very sucsessfull nintendo wii, but chose not.

Example or not, Metroid is on the rise, so the idea that it can't be profitable doesn't make sense when the last game is doing incredibly well for the franchise (nearly 3 million in less than 4 months? That's nothing to shrug off). Maybe in another earlier year, it wouldn't make sense for gambling on the likes of a Trilogy Remaster (again though, it's a remaster, there can't be that much time and resources that would have to go into it compared to even a mobile game built from the ground up), but right now, I just don't see it getting dismissed to instead put funds in a mobile game.

to tell you the truth, at this direct, we didn't get any new info on Zelda BOTW 2 or Bayonetta 3 yet,
but since this direct was for the fist half of 2022, from feb - june? then in june we should get another big direct like this one now?

that one in june might have info or even relase data for Zelda botw 2/bayonetta 3 games if, given i mean if they are even set for relase in 2022 and nintendo doesn't delay them. i hope not.

i wonder what else nintendo is keeping in serect for us that they still haven't shown us yet?
they are kepping their cards close to their chetas, and slowly push out info in directs etc or when the time is right,
not that if thye have no info, that means that they have loads of stuff cooking in the BG, but keep them hidden for super nintendo suspense.

The direct was for games that have release windows within the half year or so, beside Xenoblade 3, don't think they showed anything that have release windows over June 2022

June 2022, their goal of the direct was mainly to showcase game that have release windows within the next 6 months or close by time, that why people were upset with no BOTW news.
i see, understandable,
i wans't upset that botw 2 or bayonettea 3 was there atm, they must be pretty big games to be even ready yet,
plus i've got such a big baclkolg list and tobuylist of switch games already that these are uncessary to me atm, so good thing that they aren't ready yet :) .

also, no money atm for every single AAA switch game that i would like to buy ATM .
