I really hope this is going to be compatible with the Steam Deck..

The Micron 2400 is the world’s first and most advanced 176-layer QLC NAND based PCIe Gen4 NVME SSD.

The 2TB model is rated for R/W speeds of 4500/4000 MB/s and a TBW of 600TB.

TBW of 600TB is really good for a QLC drive. greater than basically all of the 2tb QLC drives in the market.

Drive is NOT going to be cheap though given its specs.

No doubt, but it's being billed as an affordable/budget SSD so hopefully it won't be too ridiculous.

... but will it be worth it... don't get me wrong I plan on getting a 1tb to install ( after people already test run it) . but 2tb is not going to be "Cheap"...and with the other news of the Sd load time being almost indistinguishable, it might not even be worth it..
( of course take this with a grain of salt, I'm waiting until there actually testing on retail units)

How fast are load times from the microSD card?

I'm a bit sceptical about the claimed parity between SD and NVME. It doesn't seem intuitive at all.

At least, we won't have to wait too long to see real world tests now.

of course its not going to be the same ..
but we if we talking about 14sec ssd to 45sec sd, would be worth Staying with Sd for most. As not only is the Sd changeable but Way cheaper. you can have multiple sd card.

14 vs 45 would be great, but it feels like it should be a much bigger gap on average.

If only they had gone with SD Express for the memory card slot then SSD wouldn't even be needed.
