Hi

On step no. 1 I cannot find the part in retroarch to change the playlist to json. I am using Crazymac 2.0. I have done the rest of the guide you have provided but when I replace the cores and boot up retroarch it has reset to defaults.

Any help would be most appreciated :)
You must enter playlists and disable (Save Playlist Using Old Format):

Remember that before exiting or restarting your retroarch, you must update the settings through the menu:

OK, so i managed to update to 1.10, but i have a problem, my setup had default cores for every rom, now everytime before excuting the game it asks me to choose core, is there a way to make it work like it did in 1.7.7 build so every rom had its default core?
Settings
playlists
manage playlists
set core to each system once and done

that's exactly why you need to update ALL playlists to the new format!

Edit: look here

I did replace playlists with ones you shared, but it still asked to choose default core..

This solution works :) but there is problem with arcade playlists different roms use different cores on crazymac build...

Hi, I'm sorry but I forgot to mention that you should change the playlist type (this option is in the RA general options, I can't send the correct location right now because I'm without my wiiU)

But I'll leave the step-by-step here for anyone who wants to update CrazyMac without any problem.

1 - Change playlist type to json style (VERY IMPORTANT)
2 - Gamepad must be default on port 1 of RA GENERAL configuration (VERY IMPORTANT)
3 - Save all modified content
4 - Update the playlists I made available above
5 - Update Cores

For those who use the pro controller, after updating the RA, you must enable the possibility of "Control the Menu with all Controllers", Also change the controller port only when entering the game and NOT in the RA's GENERAL setup.

Quick menu > Input
Thnx willianholtz for the guide and the playlist.

Just one question before i start updating:

What you mean in step 3 with "Save all modified content"
Did you delete the config file when updating crazymac RA pack? Did you only update the cores or are there other files to be updated/modified?

No, it's just that when you change any CrazyMac settings, when exiting the RA it reverts to the CrazyMac defaults! This save I'm referring to is to update the settings you've made.

The playlists that Willanholtz shared were not updated to the json format. Delete all your playlists on your SD card and add these and it will work. I just did it on my WiiU with CrazyMac 2.0 and the newest version of RetroArch to confirm it works.

can anyone tell me the default core settings and video setting for rotation in crazymacs build? and probably the general core settings (flip and vertical) for fb alpha 2012.. unfortunately i did override them trying to change upsidedown screen on 1941 - counter attack.

Admittedly I’m not the biggest fan of RetroArch in general due to it being slow and having issues, and while the WiiU port has always been one of the better ports imo it was still way too slow for my taste...

Until today, I just installed the latest update and I was pleasantly surprised, it got a massive boost in speed, idk what you guys did but I just wanna say thank you! 🙏

One question though, how do I set preferences for cores? Like, if I wanna play a GBA title I wanna set it to always choose mGBA by default.
