Hey guys i was just wondering...is somehow possible to configure PS3 move as lightgun for this unnoficial ps4 version of retroarch? i could try it but i have to look for the camera somewhere in my deposit. If someone can save me some time it would be great! Imagine playing time crisis and elemental gearbolt with ps3 move!:gun::gun:

is there a compatibility list somewhere? i got a PS4 PRO and i try to run PSP games and a PS1 game via RetroArch and it would either not work (black screen) or performance is terrible. i already downloaded/updated everything via online updater.

Hi any plans to port 3DS Citra core? I think PS4 is able to achieve good performance natively.

Btw, using PS4 Linux Citra gets about 30-40 FPS (60% speed).

Thanks.

-Tried Retroarch Citra core on PS4 PRO Linux (GL drivers).
New Super Mario 2 runs at almost 30-40 FPS. (50-60% speed). Something is unoptimized....

-However, Flycast ran well the few Dreamcast games I have (tried Heavy Metal Geomatrix and Zombie's Revenge). Flycast usually has some bugs with some games like Spawn in the Demon's hand, and some games run slow like Crazy Taxi.

-Saturn converted packages, also ran well : Tried Nights into Dreams, Guardian Heroes, Clockwork Knight. They all ran at full speed.

Hopefully Citra core gets ported someday to PS4. Setting up Linux on PS4 is time consuming, and you're not sure to get the most optimized results.

I tried another Linux distribution (ITmania Catjaro Linux) that supports Vulkan drivers.

Opened Retroarch and selected Vulkan drivers.

==> But no real big difference compared to gl video drivers : Citra core runs New Super Mario Bros' 2 at 30-40 fps (50-66% speed).

I even tried to boot other Linux variations (2 GB VRAM, 3 GB, 4 GB...)... no difference in terms of Citra emulator speed.

I still wonder why we get such slow performance. PS4 PRO is a beast, at least compared to my old laptop with intel HD graphics 520, which runs citra at full speed!

You cannot compare different platforms, each one needs unique optimization to run at full speed. And this build of Retroarch isn’t full optimized.

Is it enough if I delete the RetroArch app? Installed everything including the cores and updates to play n64 but the emulation is horrible. The app itself shows around 35mb but I am sure I installed over a GB in total.

Yes tried the latest version I could find of PSXITARCH. Also tried some other distro called Catjaro.
I only was interested in Citra (Retroarch Core). Performance wasn't good.

anybody know if there's a bsnes-hd core for this?

I would very much like to have the option to play some of the widescreen snes patches and that seems like the only core to handle them properly
