What are the main advantages of running Tiramsu vs CBHC I already have CBHC and wondered whether it is worth the effort to get Tiramsu on the console.

less risk and easy updating.

yes so far im not convinced it is worth changing over as you can set a parental pin on most things on the wii u menu and I also found a way to disable auto update by someone on here

but hell yer for those that have never modded the wii u ie first timers this is the way forward i just dont see enough of a reason to move from CBHC unless someone convinces me otherwise.

As said in Thread description. This is free alternative for CBHC.
Benefits:
- Significantly lower risk to brick your console (you can even do a factory reset without any problem)
- Faster upload (no need to load a DS game to run the hack)
- Modular environment (aiming for Aroma, where you would be able to load several modules at same time)
- quick menu is allowed to boot directly into a game

If you don't use bloopair or quick menu, the only difference you'll notice is the loading time

Question: I have Haxchi installed (Non-coldboot) and I remember I deleted the update folder on my Wii U to disable updates eons ago

Will I have any problem updating to Tiramisu?

Where does one stand with all games and saved game data when moving across to tiramisu?

Just the same as before: Switching CFW won't touch your games nor saves.

Another reason to switch to Tiramisu:
  • Homebrews will start to support Tiramisu better than other CFWs (Bloopair and NUSspli beeing two examples which work better on Tiramisu than other CFWs already).

Launch the indexiine installer press the b button on your controls and the browser will be back to normal. It's that easy :)
i dont have backup, since i did it over ftp before :) , i must use some original home file.
Done i got the original index.html, replaced, over.

Guys does anyone use Retroarch build by Crazy Mac and forwarder?

Retroarch does not work via forwarder, it only boots via mii maker (homebrew launcher).

Maybe i need to use other forwarder with tiramisu?

Also i have problems with loadiine, sometimes it works via forwarder, sometime it does not work, using mii maker (homebrew launcher) it works fine...

vWii forwarders seem to work fine (Wii64,Wii64 Rice,Not64, SNES RX,Nintendont) does not have any issues.

So forwarders are not supported?

Why then WUP installer and GTA 3 channel version boot fine, but Retroarch, Loadiine and HBL have problems?

Because some homebrew of forwarders use their own exploits and this may conflict with tiramisu.
Try to remove 50_hbl_installer.rpx file from modules on SD card and post the results.

Yes but @Maschell blocked updates pretty good... Not 100% sure but IIRC how to do firmware updates is to turn off the Wii U, remove the SD card, turn the Wii U back on, do the update, then power off again and reinsert the SD card.

OK, i'm trying to completely start over from scratch. Reformatted fat32 sd card, copied over the latest files from the "Tiramisu for your cafe" link provided from the one and only official guide. Started the console (which still says "Failed to load sd:wiiu/payload.elf Starting the console without any modifications") right before the Wii menu is displayed), went into the browser, went to the wiiuexploit.xyz page, clicked on "Run Homebrew Launcher" and held the B button. Black screen with "FSGetMountSource failed. Please insert a FAT32 formatted sd card." It is. Its a samsung card that's about a month old. It works fine everywhere else so i doubt the card is the problem.
Starting the wiiU holding X for the environment loader, i get the "failed to load payload.elf" message i mentioned above.
Also, im seeing the health and safety is giving me the missing payload.elf message as well.
