Hi to all, my switch is in 11.0 firmware, I use sx os (is cool to run games from hdd) and also got switchroot (android 10), pretty cool!

Santa btw take to my child a hacked switch, is with atmosphere and sys 13

The only game we can play local multiplayer is mario kart, the others are incompatible since I got lower versions.

So I have to update, I need atmosphere and emunand on sys 13, but also want to stay in sys 11 so I can use sx os and don´t lose running games from hdd

and if that is not enough i don´t want to miss switchroot (I think I have to re install it, maybe in another sd because it use a primary partition like emunand)

can anybody help¿

you guys know that atmosphere can’t run game from external hdd right?

1tb of micro sd is still freaking expensive compared to 1tb of hdd.

my 512gb micro sd card is almost full and i wish i can run games from external hdd instead of buying sand disk’s overpriced 1tb micro sd

SXOS is still not dead if atmosphere can’t run games from external hdd

You would have to manually partition everything. Its more of a pain than to just using ams though.
IF you really want to do this, backup your sd card files, create an sxos emunand if you dont have one already, and use dd on linux to img that sxos emunand.

My best guess would be that you could use hekate to make an emunand partition and android partion, then boot linux again and dd that img to the existing empty emunand partition? Thats what I would try atleast. Im not 100% if it would fit but its worth a shot?

EDIT- ahh I misunderstood, why not just use hekate to partition the emummc and android partitions onto the card, create the emummc in hekate, and update that to latest fw with ams? That way sysnand can use sxos and it remains on 11.0.0?

You can use the @mikefor20 guide HERE.

I have 6 different boot options on mine so I had to use a file system based emunand for SXOS but since I only use it for mounting XCIs and never install anything the corruption issues are less likely to happen.
  • SXOS (11.0.0 file based emunand)
  • Atmosphere (13.2 partition based emunand)
  • Stock (HOS)
  • Lakka
  • Android (own partition)
  • Linux (own partition)
Since there are so many partitions I had to use GPT instead of MBR. GPT writes partition information at the same place that the SXOS partition uses as part of its boot process…no bueno.

‘Since you’re only looking to do 3 you should be fine following the guide posted above. If you have questions I’d recommend asking in that thread.

Yes use the guide. It's easy

. You will want switchroot seperate. 4 partitions is a bit much. You could try. There is a quadboot guide for emunand,fat32,switch root, ubuntu. Sx.needs a specific offset. Maybe if you set up sxos, back it up. Use hekate to add switchroot partition you can manually make the sx partiton and restore the backup. similar to how we make a second hidden emunand. Maybe.idk how switchroot needs its partiton. The sx emunand must.be first.

Don't listen to the trolls. They're all sharing a brain and it never seems like it's their turn to use it.

Agreed. Even though I didn’t follow everything I learned a lot and was able to execute my own plan based on your guide.

4 partitions is a bit much.

Went with 6 just to prove I could pull it off.

The sx emunand must.be first.

Since its closed source there’s no changing the first 1024 byte requirement.

I had 5 partitions before..
Sx.atm.ubuntu .switchroot.fat32.

That card died lol. I think sx atm fat32 is enough lol
