Hi,

Please help me, I really need help to figure out this. My switched used to be xs os and now it's on atmosphere. Lately, it always crashed after 1-2 hour in sleep mode whether it is docked or not. I replaced my sd card with the newer one, but doesn't seem to fix the issue.

Please help me how to fix this.

Thank you so much.

Are you running the latest Atmosphere/Hekate version?
Sometimes updating helps solving these kinds of issues.
There were some people experiencing the same problems when they updated with AIO instead of just manually.

Could be an issue with Atmosphere. Is your switch special in anyway? I remember an older version of Atmosphere used to crash if I dock my Switch but an update fixed it.

Atmosphere's current version is 1.2.6 + Horizon OS' latest version is 13.2.1.

Make sure you update to the latest version: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases/latest

I would recommend to boot into OFW(Stock Firmware, no idea if I pronounced this correctly) and update HOS from there, this might disable Auto-RCM which you will need to manually renable.
yes, i am trying to see if I run this under OFW, will this crash. will it be safe if I update the firmware manually via OFW ?

Yes, but keep in mind this will disable Auto-RCM if enabled.
Heyyy I tried this, it works, not crashed at all during OFW. what should I do now? should I update that and then update atmosphere to the newest one, or do i update atmosphere first then the OFW?

First update OFW, then atmosphere and finally boot into CFW.

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways

you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market

and nvidia is already doing ARM

Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image

but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
