Even if i installed the dlcs its still locked through Mr. Nekode the connection cat and the citra has no way to get it since it needs to connect to the internet just like mhxx, but in mhxx there someone who made is a way to get it, so im just hoping if someone can do it also with mh stories.
Has anyone figured out how to enable the DLCs?

Wait, through editing the code itself, would it be possible to add code?

I seek Kushala Daora, however, CAPCOM decided to say "Screw America", so I wish to add that in. That, and I need Glavenus

Is there any information on how to work this with an android save? I've read through the last 20 pages and i saw progress but nothing else that really stated "yes this is how you do this with an android save". I couldn't even care about monsters or genes or really anything else. I just want to edit all items (rather the stat boosting and xp boosting items) to 999. Though if it's easier i'd just like to edit ALL items to 999.

You need a rooted phone to see it.
Ive looked into this and from what i understand i shouldnt need a routed phone. (though it's google so...who knows). I use a samsung galaxy s20fe and i can see pretty much every file but base files. Though i simply downloaded a new mod and ran a new save. Little sad to lose the progress but im not to far behind. What's the safest way to route a phone? (should i move this somewhere? can you give me a link or forum thread?

In most cases, rooting a phone voids the warranty, just FYI. And the process to root a phone is different for every model, so there is no one-size-fits-all solution to root a phone. You'll need different files for every different model as well. The process and files also differ depending on which version of Android and phone firmware you have. You'll need to look up your phone/tablet's full model number, such as 'root SM-G965U' for Galaxy S9+, then follow instructions for your phone's current firmware and Android version.

Also, many of the folders on the root of your phone's filesystem cannot be opened (access denied, examples include 'apps' and 'etc'), and some are hidden by the OS (sometimes 'apps' is hidden altogether, for example, or is actually a symlink to a hidden folder). Some phones don't even let you see the root folder at all, pretending it isn't even there. Phones (and tablets) locking access to certain files by default is an Android thing, not a phone manufacturer thing, and is universal for every OS build of its type. The only way to allow full filesystem access is to give yourself 'root access', or 'root' your phone, in other words.

Dang that sucks that Android was complicated enough that support didn't get finished back to the old egg hatch and reset for genes grind lol.

Finish transcribing the items in English. This is the result. The names that remained in Japanese are exclusive to the Japanese version and in the European / American version they come out with the @ symbol and without description. As I said earlier it won't compile, but this information can still help if you look at the hexadecimal numbers called offset and ID. That way they can locate the object in the program even if it is in Japanese
It won't compile because those are TAB space and not 4 spaces. Whatever you put that in converted TAB to spaces.
Also I'd look at https://github.com/Rokumaehn/mhsec-g which has 5 more fixes than quackered's.

So I just got the editor and everything is confusing I went to look at the tutorial but it says it was either deleted or I don't have access to it. If you can please fix it.

Hi everyone,

I am Krapadorr the MHST Speedrun World Record Holder. I am investigating in into things that could save time in the current route.

1. QR Codes: iSharingan concluded: 'This is most likely because the QR rewards are hard-coded into the game. What you found is likely just the array of what codes for what reward. If you could reverse the process to generate the QRs, we could find hidden/unreleased QRs, but that would be the limit of the functionality'

In the current Android route QR codes are already extensively used. However there are still some items that would be very useful to get if hidden/unreleased QR Codes exist or a way to create customs QR codes would be found.
So did anyone figure out how they work?

2. Darj-Zalam-Barrier:

If you dash with Lagombi into the right corner of the closed gate to Ruins of Zalam and turn your camera you'll see that the exit is there. There's no way we found to clip that barrier but it would be very interesting to know if the loading zone is actually active/loaded - to decide if finding a way to clip is worth the time

If the loading zone is actually there I am more than curious what to expect on the other site getting there earlier than you are supposed to.
So is there a way to check if a loading zone is loaded or change/hack your in-game coordinates to get behind that wall?

Thank you for any helpful information :)

So far no one has found any hidden QRs and no new legit ones have been released, so #1 is 99.99% a bust (and I seem to remember the Lagombi actually comes form multiplayer battle egg fragments iirc, which on android are given free for just starting the battle with the correct rule set after the PvP service was shut down), but I can at clear up #2. When messing in RAM on 3DS, I managed to find the coordinates so I could manually teleport myself past barriers/cutscene triggers. Its been a while, but iirc the only way I remember getting past that specific scene was overwriting the "next map" bytes when passing through a door, the passing through any other map transition (the maps are usually not solid past where you're supposed to be able to go and loading zones are tiny/paper thin, so very easy to go too far and fall off the map - plus those particular doors have huge collision boxes. In both Stories 1 and 2 the loading zones are usually there, but story isn't controlled/advance-able by simply entering the map. If story NPCs are even there in the first place, they cant be interacted with, so sequence breaks aren't possible outside activating a catavan or two early (which really doesn't save much time if any, since you're forced to go back and do the story anyway) - and many key/story activated catavans aren't present in the first place. The worst part is den contents are linked to story progress too - outside one basic species for the area (if dens even spawn in the area at all).

So yeah, you might be able to clip into Zalam early after wasting like 30 minutes in your run, but you'll just waste your time bc its not even useful for getting an early Stygian to steamroll with (since you'd only get Baggi eggs - if you could even get dens to spawn in the area at your degree of progress)

What you are stating about early advancing into areas aligns with my experience. I discovered that you can actually use Paw Pass Tickets retrieved from a QR Code earlier as you are expected to. So you can teleport to the Old Mine Entrance and Hakum Catavan (which saves times!). In that regard you can visit Pondry Hills before you are supposed to. Aptonoth is already loaded but you can't interact with it. You can also walk into Whistill Forest up until the infected Kinship Ore where further progressing is hindered by a barrier.

Going to the Pondry Cave (where Dan is supposed to take you) just softlocks your game.

Yes, Lagombi is indeed retrieved from Battle Network.

Its literally cheating by artificially altering values in your device's RAM. It won't help on a speed-run as you'll get thrown out/disqualified. For coordinates, its usually 3 float values that contain X, Y, and Z coordinates (there are often multiple copies throughout memory, but only one will override your current location to 'teleport'). As for door warps, its usually a 2-4 byte address that contains the next map ID to load. If you lock the value to a specific number, you'll always load the specified map no matter what door/cave you enter - though there are limits to what works in a playable fashion.

In any case, there's literally zero point in warping to Zalam early as nothing spawns and the story is disabled. RAM editing on 3DS is also immensely easier than doing so on a phone (even emulated due to how screwy the emulated memory works when trying to edit it externally).
