Is there a way to get fortnite to run on home brew on the Wii U? I think it would be kinda cool, especially if you could implement the motion controls like on the switch

It would be interesting if there was any way to run Fortnite on Wii U via streaming.

Maybe stomping from the PC to the Wii U, or running an application like Geforce Now or PS Remote Play, I would love something like that, but I doubt it will happen.

If it ever got decompiled, then feasibly it could happen, though I would have little faith of it being able to even run decently on the system. Beyond that though, you're SoL, and I wouldn't hold my breath on hoping a decompilation of the game might be around the corner, it's not.

Well, kinda but kinda not. You could use Linux on Wii U but Fortnite isn't officially supported so you would have to install winehq, Linux on Wii U's performance isn't that good so you shouldn't expect much

But how? Is this theoritically possible? A x86 translator to PowerPc, similar to Wine? How this mumbo jumbo work? Nintendont i can accept, this is a scam or witchcraft. But with Moonlight, it can be possible without much hassle

This stuff isn't really so surprising anymore (though still super interesting all the same), I think really we're just gonna see more and more of this kind of stuff as we move forward, old and even current games getting disassembled, decompiled or reverse engineered to run on systems they never were released for. Obvious examples like Mario 64 come to mind, but so too do GTA 3, Vice City, and Liberty City Stories, as well as Sonic 1, 2, and CD (all Sonic examples based on the mobile versions), Ocarina of Time was recently decompiled I believe so we'll see more of that in the future I'm sure.

I remember coming across this guy who was working to get Cuphead running on the Wii U a few years back:

It's interesting the kinds of possibilities these projects can be especially for a system like the Wii U. There are a LOT of indie/non-taxing titles that never released for the system that feasibly could run if they ever saw similar projects: Sonic Mania, Stardew Valley, Golf Story, Hollow Knight, Cadence of Hyrule, etc. etc. I have no idea if any of these are even on anyone's agenda that can make these things happen, but the possibility definitely seems to be there now.

Necrobump, but your wish has been...granted? Sort of??

Not even remotely real. The "developer" is also currently creating their first ever game in ClickTeam Fusion, a drag-and-drop game creator tool aimed at non-programmers. The Venn diagram of people who have a) never made a game before and develop on ClickTeam Fusion and b) can get high performance virtualizing x86(_64?) code on a one-point-nothing GHz generations-old legacy PPC CPU and understand the GX2 API well enough to get a modern game running on it is two circles with wider separation than my parents.

It's almost certainly just a video or Gary's Moonlight client streaming from a PC, unless it's something more exotic like a gutted GamePad shell with something else inside it. The one thing it definitely isn't running on is the Wii U.

I see, so 99,99% chance is scam. Kkkkkk funny one thought. Anyway, the part that @MikaDubbz said is interesting to me. A indie made to work with x86 to PPC is feasible thought? I am thinking on the Stardew Valley one, a game that would benefit from touch screen and dual screens, and is simple and non taxating to run, even on emulation mode on the PPC processors of the WiiU. I think i will dig a little around this one, since the creator is receptive to mods, and requering to the user downloads the original assets in a official way, i think there would be no problems on this one

Wait... THERE'S A PORT OF CUPHEAD FOR THE WII U!?

This is fake, right?, as far as I know the Wii U doesn't even support Unreal Engine 4 and 5, how the hell would someone port Fortnite for it?

Don't lose your shit there, it seems to be a proof of concept with not too much to it, and didn't get very far. But there was an effort for a minute it would seem to get it on the system.
