not sure. I wasn't sure if the mlc parts you downloaded were complete or not, because they had some weird names. redownload them, then try extracting the two files again.

It doesn't matter, beacuse before i changed the original file, i copied them in a folder, and those file are the same with those that you bumped before, I still don't understand why I don't like it and that boy does.

where did you put the men.rpx? you did have a file like that, right? try booting the system without an sd card and see what happens.

Every time I restarted the console, I first removed that file from the SD. Now I have tried again without SD and it doesn't work.

I don't know of anyone who fixes wii u's. plus, I'm in the US anyway, so I probably wouldn't know someone in Italy. I feel really bad that I couldn't help you. :( maybe @GaryOderNichts or @EyeKey have an idea of what's wrong?
Hi it's me again, i need help. Do you know if i can do the same thing i did with ftpu (loading it directly at the start renaming that file in men.rpx) but this time with wup installer? I probably found a solution but I need any method to get to wup installer, i will really appreaciate that.

  1. Fix permissions of the .pack files with your FTP client, they should be 755.
  2. Completely power off the Wii U and remove the power cable for 30 second. Then reconnect and power back on.

CIAO AMICO, ho usato questo programma per iniettare i temi, è molto più affidabile di ftpu, forse è questo il tuo problema.
https://github.com/Laf111/WiiUFtpServer/releases

HELLO FRIEND, I used this program to inject themes, it's much more reliable than ftpu, maybe this is your problem.
https://github.com/Laf111/WiiUFtpServer/releases

Ftpu is known to give serious errors when injecting files larger than 5 MB, so I recommend using this, tell me if it worked for you. (I used "admin hands" on my Android as my ftp client).
I can't do anything about it now, but I would like to understand how you restored it, when I went to reinsert the files as you did, the Wiiu was still bricked.
What a shame to read this, I did the maschell tutorial, but instead of using ftpu, I used the app I told you about, in fact I'm pretty sure your initial problem was caused by ftpu, I almost killed my console the first time I switched skins to use that app.

On the other hand, why do you say the WII U is no longer needed? What did you do besides the maschell tutorial I posted?
Basically I asked for help on other forums and one told me to try to change a number in a file code, he said it might work but it's not said so at my own risk, since I had nothing more to do I tried and now the Wiiu stays frozen even before it turns on, if there was a way to go on ftpu maybe I could save it but I don't think so, if you had answered me before maybe now I would have fixed it ahaha but don't worry it's not your fault, anyway I was going to get just the console without cables and gamepad on eBay for cheap.

But yea, rules say english... Also nice to see my suggestions to fix permissions + clear all caches (by completely removing power from the Wii U) got ignored and @Nic2609 choosed to corrupt even more instead.

Might be too late now but if this would be my console I would clear all caches by removing the power cable from the Wii U for around 30 seconds. No, just turning the Wii U off won't clear them completely.

Yeah, I always clear the cache when I flash the 360's nand by unplugging the power and holding the power button for about a minute while unplugged.

I'm sorry for not writing in English.
I didn't ignore you but you answered me too late, I already asked on other forums and they tried to help me by changing some letter on file system codes but it didn't go well, i was just trying other solutions.
I don't know how it could work but I also tried to remove the cable for 30 seconds, I turned it back on but it remains frozen at the startup of the wiiu.
if there is still a chance to go back to ftpu it would be great.

I am very sorry, frankly I did not read the rules before posting, I will read and take them into account from now on. Thank you very much for translating for everyone.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha

@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
