Hi, I know that there are already many threads about bricked wii u, but let's say my problem is another, meanwhile I start from what I did: I tried to change the wii u menu, I followed this tutorial: I followed step by step by changing the original "Man.pack" and "Man2.pack" files with those of the customed menu (I DID ALSO BACKUPS OF THE ORIGINAL ONES)
unfortunately I don't know why but something went wrong and so now I have the wii u freezed on the home screen; Obviously I looked for some threads first and found this guy who had the exact same problem as me (we both have tiramisu) but he managed to find a method to fix it, AND HERE COMES THE RELEVANT PART OF THE THREAD, he basically renamed a file that was inside the ftpu installation folder, renaming it to "men.rpx" and putting it on the "wiiu" folder, this allowed him to start ftpu by himself after turning on the wii u with the freezed menu, and then after he put the original files back with the modded ones (I suppose) and he resolve the problem, then I did the exact same thing, i put back the original menu file, the system files should now all be original, but unfortunately the wii u remains freezed, what did I do wrong? what can I do?
Thanks in advance everyone for the answer :)

try that launchiine. that's the men.rpx. can't say if it will work though as I've never even tested it.
im sorry but you're missing what i asked,i don't have any problem with this "men.rpx" file, i just said that to help you to understand what i did step by step, the real problem is that i put back the original menu system files with the customs ones, but the menu is still freezed, instead, CESARE09 (the guy of the thread i talked about) managed to resolve the problem.

alright so it seems like you can already get to the point of launching the FTP server on the Wiiu , you probably dont need to mess around too much more with files on the SD card.

Something to maybe try is using a different FTP Client on your PC.

For example: I had an issue a while back when I used FlashFXP as the FTP Client on my PC. While transferring files to the WiiU seemed fine, the minute I rebooted the Wiiu it's like the files had reverted back.. I think it had something to do with the permissions that the files get set to when you use different FTP Clients and all my transfers we're just being cached and not really being applied to the WiiU nand.. In the end I found FileZilla was able to replace the files I needed correctly... So maybe try using different FTP clients to upload your files.

If that doesn't work, it could be an indication that there are other files that have been altered (maybe by accident, or by the system).. Did you take a backup of your WiiU (mlc.bin) before you made your changes? If yes, you could do a compare of the files to see which other ones may have been changed.. In particular any of the files associated with Title ID: 00050010-10040000

side note: You also mentioned using "Man.pack" and "Man2.pack" , I assume that's a typo and you meant to say ""Men.pack" and "Men2.pack" , right - on the off chance you have the wrong file names?

Thank you for the answer, first of all, I'm using filleZilla,so I'll try to use other client; yeah,I took a backup of the mlc before installing any other cfw, with nand dumper, but it's not a folder with all the mlc stuff, just a single file,so I don't know if I can use it (maybe with any software I can open it, but I don't know). It was my mistake by writing "Men",it's Man.pack and Man2.pack.

type cmd in the address bar in the windows folder with both the wfs-extract, otp.bin, and your mlc.bin. then, copy and paste that command, but for the dump directory, use the directory your in.

@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".
