Any reason an inject of New Super Mario Bros. Wii in particular would fail to install? Downloaded a fresh .wbfs of the game to see if that would be the issue, still fails to install. All other injects I've tried have worked. Newer SMBW (the mod) worked. Using the pre-generated title ID as well as images from cucholix's repo.
“””Downloaded”””

I think you’d meant to say “freshly and legitimately ripped copy.”

How do I inject into another game than Rhythm Heaven Fever?
The tools only asks for Rhythm Heaven Fever title key
RHF seems to be the most compatible of all the title keys, and as such is the only one needed for creating custom injections.

You don’t need a new or individual key for every injection, the RHF title key will work on all of your installations.

I downloaded it from my personal dedicated server of legitimately ripped, legal games... shame on you for thinking otherwise :P

Do you have multiple USB Devices attached (even UStealth ones)? Have you tried installing to NAND?

Anyone here managed to get Wiimm's Mario Kart Wii Retro 2015-05 v1.pal+ work? :(
WUP Installer always tells me that this is not a game, game update, DLC, demo or version title...

@Wiimm
Do you have a solution maybe?

Also the German version of Broken Sword - The Director's Cut (Baphomets Fluch) always gives me an error message and won't start. All the other games work until now.

Error 160-4792
(1) 99.99.99 E
(2) WUP-101(03)
(3) FEM100983128
(4) RSJ0-0222-3375

Does anyone know what to do? The injector script didn't tell me any error. I'll try ripping the game via Clean Rip again tomorrow. Maybe this will make it.

Managed to get the German version of Broken Sword DC (Baphomets Fluch: The Director's Cut) to work.

TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector or TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector Mod --> Advanced --> Don't trim game output.

Maybe anyone in the future needs this piece of information :D
But I still don't have a solution for Wiimm's Mario Kart Wii Retro 2015-05 v1.pal+ :'(

I would like to install Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and force it to PAL60 on a PAL console. I already tried it with the NTSC and the PAL version by using the included vmc but with no luck. Has anyone an idea?

"Force Widescreen" Tries to hack your game to render in 16:9 instead of 4:3 so things aren't fat

"WiiU Widescreen" just stretches the resulting output to fill the screen. If you have both of these options on and your characters look fat or the HUD is all screwed up, your game won't properly support widescreen and you'll want to force 4:3 when building your game with the script.

Hi @TeconMoon,
man, I really love your VC Script :) I need a little help since English isn't my mother tongue and I really hope I understood the basic things so far.

SD Card menu option for GameCube games
1)
But some things seem a little cryptic to me since there aren't that much explanations out there except of yours in the main post especially when it comes to the SD Card menu option. As far as I understood it is mainly for setting up the Nintendont configuration file "nincfg.bin", right? So any changes in that menu in the future always affects all the injected GameCube games, right? Is there any plan to include a load cgf.-file option so I can load the nincfg and modify it instead of always reenable the things I want when it comes to changes? Which automatically would mean that if a game has problems with my 480p settings in the future I have to change the config file to play this specific game?

Force Widescreen and WiiU Widescreen (as quoted above)
2)
I really love playing the games as intended - at least when it comes to resolution. But if there's an option to modify 4:3 into true 16:9 I always appreciate it. I understood your posting quoted above like that: some games might work in forced widescreen without having "fat Mario" effects, right? Only if things appear to look fat/stretched, the advanced option "force 4:3" comes into play. Do I have to rely on this list which shows games with a native widescreen support? Because...

3) According to this list, the European version of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes supports widescreen mode through Nintendont but as soon as I tried the game after installation it surely felt off in terms of resolution so I played a bit around. I have an LG TV with 4:3, 16:9 and "Just Scan" methods which is nice. I tested around which picture style fits the best for that specific game to find the definitive way of convertion. I took pictures of all the options with Forced 4:3 and Forced Widescreen & WiiU Widescreen. Then I took those photos into photoshop, tilted and edited them until the pictures contained the same screen (including the full TV screen of course) size for comparison. The results are visible in the attached pictures. Since the game doesn't support 16:9 natively I hoped for a hacked 16:9 like mentioned in your post. Unfortunately it doesn't work. Is there a compatibility list regarding which games work with this kind of widescreen hack or will all the games which don't have native 16:9 support be stretched with that method? I really hope I don't mix things up.^^

Thank you very much in advance! I really hope this wall of text doesn't annoy you. I really want to explain clearly what I need and hope for answers since I don't want to test my whole library like that (this would take forever) :D

Greetings from Germany.

Best,
TuF

EDIT: It seems that one possible pleasing option is to use Forced Widescreen & WiiU Widescreen in combination with the TV's 4:3 setting, so the games can be switched from 4:3 to 16:9 and vice versa. Only negative here is the missing option for the gamepad. It would always stay in 16:9 then.

I apologize if this is a stupid question to ask, i don't really know anything about modding (hell this is my first post on this entire website). But i'm having trouble figuring out how to use the Homebrew injector. I tried it with Wiiflow and it crashed upon loading it up. is there a specific set up to get it working?

I have the same issue and currently don't know how to fix it. I used the WiiFlow Channel Installer in vWii and then I used the ID: DWFA in the Injector. How did you try the process?

Another method for WiiFlow that works (I tried it right now):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Getting WiiFlow:
i) WiiFlow Lite v5.5.1
--> put there sd:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol

ii) WiiFlow Channel Installer [ID: DWFA]
--> install on your vWii via Homebrew Channel

2) Setting up hbl2hbc with 480p switch:
i) Hbl2hbc 480p Mod or Gamepad Display off mod (optional)
--> put there sd:\wiiu\apps\hbl2hbc\hbl2hbc.elf
--> and there sd:\hbl2hbc.txt

ii) WiiU2HBC a hbl2hbc Forwarder Channel
--> install on WiiU via WUP Installer into your NAND

3) Getting tools for Modifying
i) FTPiiu_everywhere
--> put it there sd:/wiiu/apps/ftpiiu_everywhere/ftpiiu_everywhere.elf

ia) if you are using Haxchi or CBHC, download ftpiiu everywhere v0.4u2
--> put it there sd:/wiiu/apps/ftpiiu/ftpiiu.elf

ii) FTP client: WinSCP
--> install on your PC

4) Modifying the icon, splash screen and title
i) open sd:\hbl2hbc.txt on your PC and change LULZ=Homebrew Channel to DWFA=WiiFlow Lite.

the following steps are optional:
ii) open FTPiiu through Homebrew Launcher + open WinSCP on your PC, copy the url into WinSCP and connect
iii) navigate to /storage_mlc/usr/title/00050000/13374843/meta/ on WinSCP and copy&paste the extracted files of the attachment to exchange the icon and splash screens. If you want to create own icons and splash screens, I recommend THIS GUIDE by @cucholix

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's way more work than just creating the injection with the DWFA ID. For me the injection method did not work and I still do not know why :( If anyone can tell me where the problem is, please, feel free to tell me.

@dreamcastian-turnip
I hope I could help you even if it's not the mentioned method. But at least it works perfectly.

Best,
Fladulator

I'm not sure because I didn't test it yet but I guess you have to disconnect the Tablet controller and turn on the pro controller instead and then start the game. Afair I did exactly this back in the days using Nintendont as a standalone thingy.

Could you please try it and give feedback?

I've read in another thread that you just have to select the option of not using the gamepad then when the game asks you for a wii mote controller you turn it on to accept and then just when the game opens turn on your pro controller.

I tried this and works perfect.

The only thing I am missing is a way to remap buttons maybe because super mario sunshine inverted cameras are weird af.

I've been trying to convert my ripped MK Wii ISO to a Wii U file with TeconMoon's VC Injector. Every other game that I try works just fine. For some reason though, MK Wii always has an unhandled exception where tmd.bin is not found, after looking at the temp files, TIKTEMP wasn't made either. I ended up trying again while creating that folder, it got further along but still ended up with the same error.

Here is the Exception Text.
