so basically I purposefully bricked a wii u by deleting gx2.rpl and wanted to share it with you all

the wii u acts interestingly when its like this When you boot it up with the button on the console it boots up the gamepad aswell but then the gamepad errors out saying it can't connect to the system It also had Tiramisu installed during the OOBE and led to me being able to mess around in the home menu without a user setup Me being dumb did not Try to mess around with it that much, If anyone with a wii u with Coldboot tiramisu installed wants to try and Factory Reset to figure out how the wii u acts in this state Please record yourself doing it and post the results!

Shouldn't need to say this, but... please don't purposely brick functional consoles just for shits n giggles - you're doing nothing but contributing to the scarcity of these systems for potential future users.
This.

At first I expected at least some gain in knowledge – like in "bricking a console for research". Simply deleting things from NAND doesn't deliver any insights. One could as well smash the console with a hammer and conclude: "It is physically broken now."

How about doing that kind of stuff on a Wii U with a possibility to restore NAND?
https://gbatemp.net/threads/guide-kaflukes-hardmod-cbhc-unbrick-guide.476725/

I've done a lot of nonsense myself, like trying to find out (no success) what makes DSi randomly fail on unlaunch uninstallation – but I used a half dead console for this and applied a hardmod to be able to restore after full-bricking. Same for doing nonsense (repeating other people's mistakes in order to try finding a solution) on my O3DSXL – which is also hardware failing… and on 3DS there is virtually always a way back.

@FurryVile
Actively reducing the already low number of Wii U consoles without any helpful insights ("deleting files on NAND causes the OS to malfunction" is not surprising) is a disappointing move. There are a lot of poor people who would be glad to own a working gaming console (no matter which one). If YOU don't want a device, then please give it away.
