Hi Maschell, will this "timeout increase" slow down the rest of us who are not having this issue?

For the people who are having this HDD disconnect issue, have you tried using a different/faster HDD? Or perhaps a flash drive instead?
I use an SSD and I never had that problem either

I just did a loading time comparison launching (5 times each) BOTW from Quick Menu; and it turns out: it is faster with the latest autoboot.rpx
Loading times went down from 27s to 24s

Do you see "Reinstall" or something like that in his reply? It is already installed. Just copy the files to the sd and it is updated.
Did you not see reinstall or something like that in his reply?

Be glad that people ask these things, otherwise a lot of troubleshooting questions could land here that can be prevented.

I do not know why you went on the offensive on such a question, but I hope you are well. Seems that you are having a hard time! Hope you have a better day today!

My RetroArch forwarder -- the one made by cucholix -- still doesn't work for me with Tiramisu on the latest patch just released. I thought I read it was supposed to be OK a couple updates ago -- mine gets stuck in an infinite loop trying to load retroarch.rpx. It works fine when launched through the Homebrew Launcher. My SD is the typical configuration -- the files are stored in wiiu/apps/retroarch/. No issues with the SD at all as far as I can tell; I just bought it three weeks ago.

Is there another RetroArch forwarder that I don't know about that works? I've been monitoring this thread for a while, and nobody has seemed to have issues after that patch that was supposed to have fixed it. I'm also well aware at this point from reading this thread that using it with Tiramisu is unstable because it uses its own exploits -- but again, I haven't seen anybody here have issues with it after that one patch.

Delete sd:/wiiu/environments/tiramisu/modules/setup/50_hbl_installer.rpx

RetroArch forwarder and other homebrew app can work well.

I don't know if it's the new update, but The Wonderful 101 gets stuck on the choose save file screen. I have the Eur region game, on an American console, and I've never had that problem, I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and it didn't work.
I can not replicate this.
- The Wonderful 101 (EUR; latest update) works fine on my EUR Wii U (5.5.5) with latest Tiramisu (environmentloader-c63ef39 + tiramisu-d2adb23)
- The Wonderful 101 (EUR; latest update) works fine on my US Wii U (5.5.5) with latest Tiramisu (environmentloader-c63ef39 + tiramisu-d2adb23) when I use Spiik to force EUR + English. Without spiik I am getting a blackscreen, but no crash (can be exited via the Home Menu.

Can you make sure to complelty re-download Tiramisu and replace the existing files the sd card? Also (for testing) please remove any modules/files from the wii u folder that have not been shipped with Tiramisu.

The latest version only waits up to 20 seconds when a USB Storage Device is detected. If you don't have a Storage Device attached or nn::spm can already access the Storage Device it'll continue immediately without waiting. So in theory it's only helps people with problems, but doesn't add any additional waiting to anyone else.

just tested. I posted on github.
But does it wait for 20 seconds? A DEBUG build with 30 seconds is attached. Can you post the resulting UDP log (tool can be found here)?

This is probably just pure luck. Sometime the Wii U takes a bit to shutdown from standby before actually starting, this may affected the results? The new build only increases the time, but never decreases it :D But I am happy it's not slower.

.

What you mention happens to me with the American console, the game does not crash (sorry i used the wrong word) but if it gets stuck on a black screen with the music in the background, I will try to use Spiik and see if it works, or I will reinstall all the Tiramisu files, in any case will tell how it went.

The Autoboot Module has been updated (AutobootModule-20220118-140408):

Download the latest Tiramisu package here: (tiramisu-a3d11ee.zip)
https://tiramisu.foryour.cafe/package/tiramisu (Click on "Download All" and copy the files to your sd card)

Changelog:
  • Show a Account selection screen when booting into the HBL and no default account has been set.

  • I have already done the respective tests and found an error in the game One Piece (EUR), the title is stuck on the home screen, but when I remove the sd card from its slot, it works normally, the same solution worked for me in The Wonderfuk 101 (eur), I remind you that my console is American, oh and by the way, I downloaded the latest version of tiramisu and left only those files in the "wiiu" folder, I hope that with this you can get an idea of what is going wrong, thanks for your attention

I installed Tiramisu about a week ago and I been having fun with it, a couple of questions though, can I install Smash DLC via WUP installer now or will it not work? Also, can I install European games on my NTSCU conosle or is it not safe? Finally, is it safe to log in to the eshop or no?

You can install all Games & DLC via WUP Installer (no matter the region) so, yes, Yes you can install european in NTSC
You just need to be sure that both the Game, and the DLC are from the same region
Yes you can access the e-shop. Tiramisu blocks the updates, but allows all other nintendo network services

This has been mentioned like 5 times. You are NOT supposed to run haxchi after you've already run Tiramisu. This will lead to crashes and undefined behaviour because it re-run exploits And overrides (parts of) Tiramisu/sd loader in memory. This is true for any exploits or channels which contain exploits (Homebrew launcher channel, Retroarch etc.). The Channels are most likely "broken" and need to be fixed, it's nothing Tiramisu can really fix.
@Maschell @dimok @GaryOderNichts , talking with @ploggy in the Retroarch thread, he was able to run retroarch forwarders just by deleting 50_hbl_installer.rpx in wiiu\environments\tiramisu\modules\setup

I gave it a try and he was right ✅ i was able to run a Padcon forwarder made with Haxchi (only the forwarder, not the CFW) and it works fine everytime. Up until now every forwarder made with Haxchi used to crash my system

My main intention was to run Padcon from the Quick Menu, just to launch the system with that feature enabled.

Now i wonder, why? as far as i know Haxchi installer is not related to Mii Maker, right? Maybe that is the same issue many people have reported from other launchers. Not sure if it is worth for you guys to give it a look

Unfortunately, even when latest version of HBL is very stable and my favorite, i feel forced to keep using the old HBL Channel v2.1 when any other homebrew app is needed

Edit: I just created another Haxchi forwarder to homebrew_launcher.elf v1.50 and it works perfect, so for me there is no need to use Mii Maker anymore. (it just take a little more time to load, but it is fully functional)

Please read the thread from begining, this is well explain. In fact, this is free hack, it supports cold boot, boopair, sig patches, quick start and its brick free compare to CBHC

Hello together

Is it supposed to delete "50_hbl_installer.rpx" like mentioned above or will this harm something after installing autoboot tiramisu. I'm asking because i want to use retroarch forwarder too.

deleting (or moving it to another folder) disables the Homebrew Launcher from the Mii Maker, it will not affect the performance of Tiramisu in any way
Only thing is, make sure you have the HBL Channel installed before disabling it

Thnx for the fast reply.

So i have to install Channel V2.1 and than move or delete the installer.rpx. When theres no downside in doing this, why its not in the guide of installing tiramisu?

the HBL v1.5 rpx version is much more stable. But HBL Channel v2.1 still works pretty good.
Do it if you like. It won't affect the Tiramisu enviroment or performance
