So I never thought this was possible until I came across a few threads earlier. I'm thinking of restoring sysnand, without the backup files, on a pre-modded switch. I want the system to be completely stock and clean afterwards. Just wanted to confirm how valid this method is as it doesn't clear error/network logs.

Some background on the switch going thru the procedure:
  • went online on a clean stock sysnand but never online on emunand
  • CFW + homebrew + pirated games on emunand

I really appreciate the help!

Also would a sysnand backup be clean after formatting the SD card?

This won't do anything other than delete your emuNAND. Which is probably not what you want.

That's what I figured :/

What would be the differences and limitations between a switch with emunand removed this way VS an unpatched switch that's never been modded?

If the sysNAND is clean as it sounds like it probably is (although you never really know with a premodded console), deleting the homebrew/hack files and emuNAND, or simply taking the SD card out, removes any traces that the console was ever hacked. As long as AutoRCM isn't installed as that actually modifies the sysNAND.

Great, thanks so much, appreciate the help!

SylverReZ @ SylverReZ: Also nice. Never really watched Fallout on Prime, but sounds like a good show. +1
