The only way I know of is to do a GC Nintendont inject as it should boot direct to the game. I've never done an inject so I can't help you there.

I'm playing The Hobbit PAL and when forcing PAL60 the game gets stuck on a black screen. I found a cheatcode to be able to force it at 60 hz and it worked (I don't understand why it doesn't work from video mode settings). However, the defliciker doesn't deactivate and makes it look worse than at 50hz.

forced settings are general hacks they dont work correctly for every game, obviously per game cheats work better, if you want 60hz and defliker just play the usa version, played it all recently on nintendont.

Well I already knew that but I decided to play PAL game because it's multilingual and I was interested playing it in my language. Anyway I can deal with it and I'll continue to play like this.

Looking at that cheat code, it could be possible to patch the ISO itself so it boots at 60Hz. I did that to a bunch of games years ago.

I do not know if it would work in combination of the video force option to remove the deflicker filter, but we could also patch that out from the ISO itself. If forcing video modes does nothing, then it's one of those few games that do it differently and requires some extra tweaking, such as R: Racing Evolution or Soul Calibur II.

I don't have time right now, but the cheat code seems short enough and doesn't use weird stuff compared to cheats for other games, so in theory it could be somewhat easy to do. Maybe I'll take a look at it sometime.

Thanks, I will hope that you can find a combination to patch, it would be rewarding to be able to play it at 60 hz and without deflicker.

Is there a way to go back to Nintendont screen to switch Games from another Game?

I don't know how to word it clear
Depending on your controller there should be a reset button combination that should go back to Homebrew Channel but not always. It depends on your setup. If using a Wii U Pro controller for example, you press the Home button.

EDIT: Correcting mistake due to just waking up.

this is false lol you can never go back to nintendont once inside a game, you can go back to homebrew channel or usbloadergx or wiiflow but if you use nintendont diretly through inject or just straight out of homebrew channel you can never go back to it. its the way nintendont was coded to be used with loaders and such.

Sorry that's what I meant. Just woke up so my brain's a little foggy.

Corrected my previous post so as to avoid confusion.

if you use a loader like usbloadergx or wiiflow you can go back to those loaders if you use nintendont through homebrew channel or wiivc inject then you will sent back to homebrew channel or just wiiu menu.

Forgot to put I'm on the Wii

Resetting won't work, it only resets the Game

Hitting Power only turns off the Wii, I thought it would just Power Cycle to the Homebrew Channel

I haven't use Nintendont since my SD Card got corrupt like 4 months ago

If you launched Nintendont from the Homebrew Channel and don't have "Native Controls" on there are button combinations to go back to Homebrew Channel for most cases. It depends on the controller being used. If using Nintendo controllers with a HOME button, pressing that should send you back to the Homebrew Channel.

Is there a way of running RetroArch for Gamecube in Nintendont?
You can use swiss on wii, with a gecko sd. From swiss you can boot gamecube homebrew.

I think nintendont will have no problems in boot media launcher.iso. If your wii can read burned disc, it will be easier.

I won't ask what's the point of doing it....

no , nintendont does not run any gc homebrew, nintendont works by patching sdk functions and patterns which games use, homebrew has no set rules for patterns so nintendont cant patch them therefore no homebrew runs at all

nope nintendont doesnt run any gc homebrew, due to how nintendont works.

also every gc homebrew has a wii version so why would you use the inferior gc version over the wii version? i have no idea.

I'm using a Wii Retroport SNES Adapter in Port 1

Pressing Home doesn't do anything all 4 lights are on the Wiimote
