All tutorial I read says I need the original boot.dat and then from Sx I can boot to Sx os emunand Files , but I want the opposite just automatically start the console press the Vol button and select the Sx os fromthe hekate menu, so if I don't want boot Sx os, I only need to power on the console normally and then without pressing anything enter automatically to atmosphere. Is possible? Thx (Mariko user)

Hekate has problems being chainloaded from SX OS.

I'm aware I have to replace the boot.dat file with the original Sx os, so atmosphere won't automatically boot if I do that, I would like the atmosphere automatically boots and if a I want to use Sx os press combination of button to enter to it . Thanks

Follow the instructions here.

To make it automatically boot the 1st entry of CFW Atmosphere change the following setting in step #2:
autoboot=1

You will need to create a second entry for SXOS. To boot to the second entry you will need to interrupt Hekate when it’s booting by pressing (volume -) and selecting the appropriate entry.

I personally have a 8G resized file based emmunand on FAT32. It’s a little risky due to potential file system corruption but I only mount XCIs in SXOS. The recommended approach is to use two hidden portions to avoid corruption as detailed here.

Im on a V1 Erista so the only thing I’m not 100% sure about Is doing this on a Mariko But there are folks that say it worked in the thread above so you might want to chime in there.

There are tons of threads about this. I highly recommend you read, read, read everything you can if you’re going to be running more complex setups because you will have to take it into account when you upgrade or make any other changes to your system in the future.

Good luck!

That is the problem for me I cannot find the way to run atmosphere hekate first over the Sx os partition files because Sx os needs the original boot.dat on the root, and if I replace that boot.dat for the sxgear one I cannot run Sx os. This is the main problem. Thx

My apologies for getting your hopes up…

After further reading I see I’ve fallen for the “Erista user” trap. I knew nothing about Mariko and chipped devices. i just read through a similar thread and now understand a bit more about why it can’t be done. @Draxzelex was a participant in that one too and clearly knows what he’s talking about.
