So,
Recently I have been wanting to play some Wii Backups on USB LoaderGX, but everytime I put in my USB Drive it never reads.
I have tried:
  1. Putting in my USB Drive as USBLGX (USB LoaderGX) boots up it either crashes or doesn't read
  2. Putting in my USB Drive when the vWii is booting up
  3. Having the WBFS file on my SD Card so I can play the backups
These are the methods I have tried. If anyone knows of a way to play the Backups on vWii on USBLGX please respond in the thread.

Does this work on vWii, and yes it is formatted to fat32 and the games and folders are formatted to WBFS.

Hello,

use a real external hard drive and format FAT32.:yayu: (other seasoned members :yay: on the forum, will tell you the same thing as me)

USB keys often give black screens.

usb loader gx does not play games on SD card, only on USB.

only "Wiiflow lite" and "Configurable loader v70" play games on SD or USB.

New Discovery!
So today in the morning I found out that it does, in fact, read my USB Drive. I went to USBLGX and I got stuck on initialize USB. Anyone know what that means?

And yes I will try WiiFlow Lite.

from what I remember, beta53 doesn't even have a FAT library file when you install it, so I don't know if wiiware or vc will work. it certainly won't if using ustealth as you need to replace the FAT library before installation or you can reinstall it, then wiiware, vc, dlc, will work with ustealth.

reinstall cios to change to beta52. hdd only works on usbloader gx, possibly others. you can play cube games from sd card, but the wii u doesn't supply enough power to a flash drive in most cases. that's why you either need a powered vwii drive, like I use, or a y cable.

I'm new to this so what is a powered vWii Drive?

Also,

How about WiiFlow? Does that work on with USB and if not I copied the backups to my SD Card.

I doubt it works in any backup launcher, though you could try. a powered drive is one that receives power from a power outlet. if it receives power from the wii u, you need a y cable where one cable is data transfer; the other power.

elements is a y cable type drive; the other two are internal hdds, so buy a powered enclosure, then put the drive inside.

I recommend WD and Seagate. I use two in the back ports with Y-Cable connect in a USB Powersplitter wich leads in one of the frnot ports. So no external device needed.
