I accidentally updated my dsi and now my m3 real ds doesnt work anymore. It gives the error: An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off.

Is there any way I could get my m3 real to work again? Like a patch or downgrading my ds? Also if I need to downgrade, to which version should I downgrade for it to work?

It worked fine before the update
"M3 DS Real... Now, that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time."

Anyway, the latest DSi updates break flashcart usage. That's why I've never gone online with mine. There are guides out there. I wish you well.

You'll need to install Unlaunch, it removes the flashcard blacklist so that should fix it.

If it for some reason doesn't work or you want to keep sound in the launcher and the splash screen (unlaunch removes those as nocash doesn't like them) you can use TWiLight Menu++ to load it as long as Unlaunch is installed or hiyaCFW.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of these things are possible. In any case, I think your flashcart was very old, or am I wrong? Nowadays you can easily find them cheap and highly compatible. Or you can play from SD slot, with Memory Pit and TwilightMenu++.;)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
