How to make a gif as a channel

:( its not that simple - they rely on specific files brlan (for animation) and brlyt (for layout) which dictate how channels display and animate.
messing around within these is not a 'straightforward' task.

If the gif is a relatively simple one, you could try image replacement within a suitable donor wad using customisemii ?
might be worth your while trying to pm @diddy81 if you're set on going ahead with this....good luck :)

using a gif is possible however it is limited we did try to max out the amount of frames we could use the problem being as you add more frames you have to reduce the resolution of the images so its striking a balance between quality and quantity
most we had was 96 frames to my memory you can see it here
