hi,
i have installed on my New 3DS XL the forwarder channels for my backup of DS games, but some games doens't work, in particular:
1) Megaman Zero Collection: the game start, but the graphic has issue --> black vertical lined during the game
2) Megaman ZX Advent: the game doesn't boot, there is a white screen at the beginning

Is it possible to fix? Is it normal that these games doesn't work? If they can't work, how i can remove the icon of the game? It isn't an installation so i can uninstall it from the OPTIONS menu as a regular .cia game...
thanks

Forwarding is a spotty thing, just use twlight++ and to delete it just use FBI.

thanks,
i deleted the 2 .bin files in FBI --> SD --> _nds --> nds-bootstrap --> patchOffsetCache, but the 2 forwarder channel are still there...
So i wend into FBI --> TITLES and here i choose the game. Is it necessary to push "Delete title and ticket" or only "Delete title" ? After that i suppose the 2 titles will be removed

After that, in ordert to fix the games, is it better to run this: https://github.com/MechanicalDragon0687/TWLFix-CFW/releases/ and then upgrade again the fw (as showed in this video , at minutes 5:00?)

Or i can delete them using the Data Management --> DS Ware, right?

After that, i have to reinstall the 2 forwarder channel, right?
thanks

It's safer to delete ticket and title, Ticket might conflict with installing them again. Data management from settings won't remove the tickets. Idk about reinstalling the forwarders, imo just using twilight is best. Make sure if you do forward the rom is linked to where you selected it when making the forwarder.

ok, i have uninstalled them with FBI as you suggested and reinstalled again, but they have same issues as before. So i ran TLWFix and at the end of the process there was an unexpected error occurred, so i push a button in order to shut down (i avoid to save the dump of the crash). As suggested in the video, i updated again the software. I run again the 2 games, but i still have the same issues... :(
Do you know if it is impossible to run these 2 games? I'm using the European version.
thanks

yes, i have the issues only in these 2 games, i tried all my games (about 30) and thei work fine.
where i can see if the nds bios is present? i dind't put it anywhere...i have only hacked the Nintendo 3DS following this guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/get-started

Please let me know if i have to add a bios and where i have to put it.

Googling i found some files:
1) biosnds7.rom, biosnds9.rom, firmware.bin, BIOSGBA.ROM, key.cfg
or
2) bios7.bin, bios9.bin, firmware.bin, BIOSGBA.ROM, key.cfg

what i have to do?
thanks!

If only two games aren't working, you shouldn't use TWLFix. TWLFix is for when DS mode is completely broken. You might make things worse if only two games aren't working. Likewise, I can't imagine why would would suddenly need a BIOS if only two games aren't working.

I expect you're encountering an anti-piracy check, so you might need to look for some anti-piracy patches. But I thought those were being integrated into new versions of nds-bootstrap; maybe you're not using the latest version?

As for the video, that user has been known to post some videos with serious problems and I wouldn't trust it.

Some anti-piracy features need nds bios to work right as well as using twilight to manually enable these patches in the menu settings of twilight.

in the post above i wrote about the firmware/bios: do you think i have to add them?

Yes i have updated the console some days ago, for sure it is the latest version of bootstap taken from the direct link on this page: https://3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(pichaxx)

I assume you used a donor rom or is it just forwarded from twilight? Donor rom must be compatible fyi. Bios for nds can be dumped from a nds and I think with 3ds too iirc. Have you tried the nightly build of twilight?

Ah, well. I was not aware of that. That would do it, then,

I was not referring to boot9strap. I wrote "nds-bootstrap", which is the component used to run DS games from the homescreen.

well, in order to launch DS games, i have only downloaded and installed the latest version of software shown in the video i linked above, i mean:
- https://github.com/MechanicalDragon0687/NDSForwarder/releases --> NDS Forwarder Generator
- http://u.pc.cd/EUwitalK --> NDS Game Forwarder Pack

and i created forwarder using the NDS Forwarder generator. I don't know any other method to run NDS games... The ndsbootstrap is included in the pack included in the NDS Game Forwarder Pack:
https://i.postimg.cc/Kj9HW1cf/Cattura.png

Is it necessary to update some files? If so, how can i do that? the video was created on May 2021, i suppose the pack is quite updated..?

A) unfortunately I don't know which is a donor rom... i have only created the forwarder using the NDS Forwarder generator from HomeBrew Launcher...

B) If i need to update twlight++, i suppose i have to go here: https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/TWiLightMenu/releases and choose this option:
https://i.postimg.cc/13KJ7gWq/Cattura2.png
but i don't know how to enter in Twilight menu...i have't used it before so i don't know which is ist version and the version of my nds-bootstrap...
I suppose my versions should be quite updated, so which is the right way to updated it? In this page there are several way...
https://wiki.ds-homebrew.com/twilightmenu/updating-3ds.html?tab=universal-updater
Is it better to install the Universal Updater?

thank you very much for your help :)
P.S.: i sent you a PM

https://gbatemp.net/threads/nds-forwarder-cias-for-your-home-menu.426174/#post-6338388 would be where you would get your forwarder apps from.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/nds-boo...-backups-from-an-sd-card.454323/#post-6947992 also goes over updating NDS bootstrap.

thanks.
So, in the picture below, into the left there is my current _nds folder (included in the pack that i founded in the video i linked above, as said the video was made on may 2021), and into the right the updated pack just downloaded from the link you provided me (https://github.com/RocketRobz/NTR_Forwarder/releases)
https://i.postimg.cc/mrPL3ZHW/Cattura3.png

In the new pack, the Twilinght folder is missing.
1) So, first of all, what i have to do? I can simply overwrite every folder/files with the new pack, in order to update nds-bootstrap?

2) if so, after that, how can i update Twilinght too? I suppose i have to follow this guide: https://wiki.ds-homebrew.com/twilightmenu/updating-3ds.html. Is it better to follow the Universal-Updater way or the Manual update?
I also see that my current TWiLightMenu folder only have one folder (left) but the TWiLightMenu folder included in the 3DS pack (from here https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/TWiLightMenu/releases) has a lot of stuff:
https://i.postimg.cc/PqBCPVqH/Cattura4.png

Please, can you recap the step i have to follow in order to correctly update nds-bootstrap and Twilight? After that, i will try again to create a forwarder using NDS forwarder generator (without creating the .cia file for every rom I mean).

thanks!

EDIT:
1) using the universal updater, i have updated Twilight ++, and i supposed that nds-bootstrap too is is automatically updated during the Twilight++ update process.. Please check my current folders:
ROOT:
https://i.postimg.cc/3JGRyFvC/Cattura5.png

_nds
https://i.postimg.cc/Qxc7L303/Cattura6.png

I ran for the first time Twilight++, i dind't have it before :) But i think that know i don't need it. Ii tried again the games and they perfectly works!!!!

Many thanks guys!!! In order to keep updated my apps like Twilight and nds-bootstrap, how can i do? I mean, using the Universal Updated and updating Twilight, automatically it will be updated nds-bootstrap too? And how can i know it is necessary to update them? Running Twilight i don't see any version anywhere...so i don't know which are my current Twilight and nds-bootstrap version (for sure are the latest one in any case)?
