Nintendo have announced that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, originally scheduled for release on December 3rd has now been delayed until "Spring 2022".

The announcement was made via the Nintendo of America Twitter account who stated that the game requires "a little more time and fine tuning".

This is the latest in a long line of delay announcements for popular upcoming games to early 2022.

>Sees advance wars picture
Ooooooooooooohhh!!!! Yes!!
>Sees words delayed
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :(((

I do 100% appreciate a game being worked on until it's acceptably complete, rather than releasing a buggy incomplete mess that requires a ton of patching and pisses everyone off.

I fail to see how they could screw up a decade old tactical RPG. Yet, I'm fine with this.

Would be cool if they'd use the time to add the remaining two games, which of course they won't.

guess after copying the basegame, they realized certain missions in the first game are just terrible.
or worse in case they combined 1 and 2 co's and made them the same across both games

I really liked how the game looks on reveal trailer (I believe it was on E3). But what makes advance wars fun is it's addictive mechanic, not the visuals, and this mechanic can be enjoyed right now at an emulator near you.

My guess is that Nintendo trusted Wayforward enough to develop this game unsupervised but it was only after the reveal that they have to step in.

I still wish Wayforward used the same pixel artist as the older Shantae games for this remake instead of that style used for Half Genie Hero.
