First trailer for live-action 'Uncharted' movie released

After getting postponed earlier this year, the live-action Uncharted movie seems like it's well on its way for its February 2022 premiere. In anticipation of the release, Sony aired the first trailer for the movie today, giving us our first proper look at Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg in the shoes of Sully:

Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time, Uncharted introduces audiences to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). In an action-adventure epic that spans the globe, the two go in dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the live-action Uncharted movie will premiere exclusively in movie theaters February 18, 2022.

So they take parts out of the game into the movie, but then make the characters nothing like the game.

Tom is way too young for drake, so it looks like they've set the films when he was young rather than his age in the games.

But marky mark as sully wtf not even close.

Why do they have to ruin movie adaptations of games.

Take welcome to racoon city, jill valentine is no longer a white femal, albert wesker is short shaved hair, leon has black hair and a cheap crappy rpd outfit and the zombies look more like vampire hybrids.

It was announced quite a while back that Tom is playing a younger Drake than the adult version seen in the games, and as I've stated before, a Google search for comparison images shows that Tom is actually a really good match.

I agree about the casting choices for ND & Sully. I somehow think that the Uncharted franchise could benefit from a TV Show style approach rather than a movie, it's just too short, with many episodes they'll have much freedom to delve into his character, environments etc. Him chasing after treasure and the like.. There's SO much potential there.
Maybe they're just testing the waters here?

Dont need to google search, ive played all the uncharted games.

The point is, theyve taken a game and gone for a young kid to play drake, when drake is a mid aged guy, you only played as young drake as little flash backs.

Theyve gone for holland to hopefully bring it the marvel fans that like him rather than as usual been faithful to a game when making it into a movie.

And then we have marky mark as sully.... wtaf.

Lets hope it doesnt end up like a typical disney adventure film taking pieces out of game scenes to make it look like an uncharted film.
