I'm not sure if it is possible but I have a idea

You make some kind of device that let you basically put a sata SSD or even HDD in your switch. Not sure how to do it

The idea will not be to use the sd card slot but rather somehow the gamecard slot but you just remove it completely. So it means
You lose your ability to play gamecards
You get 1tb or whatever you want of ssd in your switch
Sd card slot won't be a need

Incase it's not possible to use the game card slot
I'd say we could use some other thing

Like having multiple mmc in the switch
I've heard rumours of a project but never seen it irl

The plan would be to have like 4 mmc slots each with like 256gb internal storage
This will not be possible to be detected as there will be some kind of build in prevention

As it must be legal we will not allow any kind of piracy but this will rather be for when we want to play android games. Let's say we have 5 mmc slots. The original one and 4 in raid. So it will be up to 1tb to android.

Any suggestions please comment on the post

The SOC of Switch haven't any SATA, NV.M nor similar pins, so I think is not feasible.
What about having multiple MMC chips?
There's ways to upgrade but I mean, upgrade amount will be better

I'm going to be trying to make a Simple blueprint of the thing I was thinking of

you can buy MMC chips for the Switch the max I has see was 512 GB, but could be more no. YOU NEED A FULL BACKUP and all your keys before start the mod. then use Hekate to change the USER partition size.

No that's wrong the WiFi module is over sata x1 connected. The soc has also x4.

if you find a raid controller that is compatible with the emmc standard it might work.

Max is 256gb, only ufs memory is greater. But ufs don't work in switch.

There’s absolutely no reason to do any of this - there’s a readily available and removable MMC daughterboard that supports chips up to 512GB. That, coupled with a large SD card, should net you more storage than there are good games on the platform. Realistically there’s no reason to gut the game port either way since you already have a removable storage slot available - the SD slot. If anything, the easiest way to add a HDD or an SSD to the Switch would be, by far, attacking the USB port - SX can do it, there is absolutely no reason why Atmo couldn’t with the right tweaks. Tl;dr you’re trying to figure out how to butcher the console when you don’t need to solder even one connection to achieve your end goal.

Illinois is working to ban toxic food additives that have been banned for decades in other countries; additives that can be replaced and all those countries still have Skittles and Mountain Dew. Title of the piece: GUBMINT WANTS TO TAKE AWAY YOUR CANDY

@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".

Arsenic doesn't give you cancer either.

I mean if a company could use AI to do the work of a home conversion for essentially free why not? The rights for some games are completely lost though
